- Don't expect to be seen right away - Don't go by yourself (if possible take someone with you) - Do expect to waiting in a small waiting room that could use a fresh coat of paint and new furniture
Description of Work: I visit Duke Urgent Care on Sunday, December 11, 2011 for asthma related conditions, which escaluated into an asthma attacked. I was greeting in a very professional manner. The doctor's assistant was very friendly and professional; she explain medical prescriptions to me and how to use the medication. This was my first visit and the wait was 2-3 hours after arrival; which for me was very difficult seeing how my condition was asthma related and I had told the recepitionist at the check-in desk about my condition. When my name was called after sitting down for 15 minutes, I was like wow, that was fast, but I had to go through triage first before seeing a doctor. In triage, I made it clear when asked about my condition that it was asthma related (I could hardly breath, don't know why the nurse didn't notice) and they told me I still would have to wait to see a doctor. After two hours of waiting in a crump waiting room, I was finally seen by a doctor's assistance Two weeks later, I visited my primary physician at Highate Medical for proper treatment and afollow-up visit.
