I hate companies that try to sell you something you don't need with scare tactics, including rodents and mold. We will look elsewhere from now on

It was a $99 charge to come out and look and offer a solution but I was okay with that. The bat wasn't present when the assessor arrived. The assessor offered a solution that I felt was overpriced. He pointed out some other areas that seemed to be at risk for a future bat infestation and solutions for those areas that could be implemented. He indicated that addressing the areas he identified would prevent future bat problems. After he left, I noticed several additional areas which seemed met the "at risk" criteria which were overlooked on his assessment. Thus the estimate provided would have been even higher. I had to ask for pictures of the items he suggested I have installed. The bird guards didn't look like what I thought were described. I decided to forego covering all my bases and address the immediate (single) bat issue myself with a water bottle to shoo out the bat and some screen to apply over the outside of the louvers once I was sure he was gone. I'll probably try another company for future bat issues. I didn't like that the assessor arrived almost an hour before his appointment time while I was still at work. Then he called me to ask when I'd be there. It was disruptive and I didn't appreciate that he couldn't arrive at the appointment time, that he called me to ask when I could be there, and that he didn't give me more notice if he needed to arrive early.

At the initial visit a technician (maybe manager?) checked for places the mice could be entering the crawl space (after explaining to me that it was much more feasible to keep them from getting into the crawl space from outside, than to keep them from getting into the house from the crawl space) and identified several places, which he showed me. He provided an estimate and a description of the work to be done. I waited a few days, then contacted them, leaving messages, to schedule the work. They were slow to respond. A technician came and did the work about 2 weeks after the initial visit . He did a good job except at one entry place he didn't do what had been described to me and what he did do was completely ineffective. Also, I realized that a possible entry place, an overflow drain pipe from the W/D closet, had been overlooked at the initial visit. I sent an e-mail about the 2 problems, didn't receive a response, followed up with a phone call. Someone came out and corrected the problems. Even though the drain pipe was not included in the original estimate, they did not charge me anything additional for blocking it. I'm still catching mice about a month later, but I have no way of knowing whether they were already in the house/crawlspace before the work was done or have been breeding in the crawlspace or house, or if new ones are still finding their way in. I knew going into this that excluding mice is hard, and Critter Control warned me that mice can successfully breed without access to the outdoors. They offered to put out poison for any mice already in, but I didn't want to do that.

The way their system works, they're charging per animal removed and you really have no way of knowing how many animals they really did remove. So you're left at taking their word for it.

Albert arrived on time and did a thorough assessment of the problem and treated mice problem. Provided recommendations for prevention underscoring more to less priorities. Professional and patient. Second time using company and pleased with overall service from initial call to completion of work. Total cost $158.00. Well worth it.

First, he couldn't smell it. When I asked him to open the back of the washing machine - two screws - he said that he could not do that because it would ruin my warranty - machine is 22 years old. Two, he went under the house and came up with not a speck of dirt on his yellow shirt, showing me that he had not ventured far from the entrance. Three, then he showed me a menu of services his company offered (all well over $100) in order to find this elusive smell.  A week later I purchased a black light from Amazon for about $10. Immediately I saw where the mouse had been and was able to get rid of him and also wash down every spot in the kitchen where he had urinated.  What did I get for the price of their service - Nada. You think this company could supply their people with black lights - especially those whose noses don't work.

The work they did was good because we don't have a woodpecker bothering us. It was very professional and done with few problems.

We had an opossum family set up residence in our crawlspace.  Critter Control came and removed a number of the young opossums.  They set up traps to catch the remaining ones.  They then replaced the broken screen with a metal one to prevent returnees.  They also replaced all our existing plastic crawlspace screens with metal ones to an animal could not easily chew through.  Critter Control were very professional and did an excellent job.

Lance and his crew are amazing. They are extremely knowledgeable, professional, kind and courteous. Every step of the way they communicated what they would be doing and how the clean up, repair and restoration would progress. They were always on time and kept the job site as clean as it could be at all times.
Lance really cares about homeowners and went above and beyond. He's also extremely well educated in his profession as well as very patient and truly provides A+ service and fantastic customer service that is rare to find these days. He made a challenging situation in our home the very best it could be to repair. Everyone in the crew and in the office were great and kept in communication with us regarding scheduled dates and updates on the progress.
Will definitely recommend his services to anyone in need for this type of work.

The visit on 11/5/2014 was to remove the old insulation from the attic, clean out bay guano and urine and replace the insulation with new blown in insulation.  Additionally, we contracted to have an attic fan removed and dry wall installed to cover the hole left by removing the fan.  This was all completed in 1 day with no clean up on our part.  We just need to run the fan on the furnace to ensure all the dust is removed as when the attic access is open you get some dust from there.

Lance and his team were very professional, on time and completed the contract as indicated.  Hopefully, we won't have to contact them again however, if we are ever in need of wild life control....Critter Control will be on speed dial!

Very thorough inspection with suggestions of how to take care of the problem myself since there were no major problems found that needed to be addressed regarding holes in the house where larger animals are getting in -- just mice in the basement that seem to be coming up through the walls to the attic. Very knowledgeable about the mating habits of basic squirrells as wells as flying squirrels which are strictly nocturnal (we've had those in the attic before, that's what I was afraid of) and what times of year they are and aren't likely to be a problem. He even suggested how often to check the bait traps to gauge the infestation as well as make sure the poison was still potent and hadn't absorbed too much moisture to not be attractive to the critters anymore. VERY relieved to know there were no signs (or smells!) of rats!

I was very pleased with Critter Control. Ironically, there was like mice or squirrels when I was meeting with my realtor. My realtor recommended them. I think the little animals saw the yellow truck and vacated the property. They never found anything. They took care of all of the evidence of everything. I haven't had any problems with any animals after that. They came out very, very quickly. I was very appreciative of that. They baited and came by regularly to check, so I didn't have to worry. They were very responsive. They're great. They were very thorough. I was very happy that they were recommended to me.

For the past few weeks, every 3-4 days we would hear and quot;squeakingand quot; and scampering in our attic. Initially called one of the Pest Control companies on Angies List, but was informed that if the pest was some type of mammal (raccoon, mice, squirrel, etc) all they did was prevention...not removal, of those types of critters. That company recommended I call Critter Control.
-
Called Critter Control and setup an appointment that was about 1-week out (they were quite busy). Appointment was a and quot;Service calland quot; that had a standard fee of $159.00. For that fee, the technician would identify the type(s) of animal(s) in the attic, set a trap (if needed), locate how the animal gained entrance to the home, and advise on any additional costs. Was informed that if the critters were determined to be ground squirrels or flying squirrels they would need to be trapped at an additional cost of $75.00/squirrel. So I was hoping they would NOT be squirrels.
-
Technician arrive about 25-minutes late. I was informed that this was due to a GPS error. I have a and quot;Band quot; for punctuality because even though I can't hold the technician responsible for a faulty GPS system, he still could have called me to get the proper directions (I had to call their office after waiting 20-minutes. They then called him, called me back and informed me of the problem.)
-
Once the technicians arrived they promptly went into the attic and within 2-3 minutes identified that we had mice.
-
The technicians informed me that they had some options (poisons, traps, etc) that they could provide but that it would be more cost-effective for me to poison-or-trap the mice myself. I applaud them for their honesty in this regard.
-
I found the service charge of $159.00 to be a bit high and that's why the rating of and quot;Band quot; on price. I do recognize that maybe in some other homes it might be much more difficult to crawl around an attic, identify the animal, and identify how the animal gained entrance into the home. In my case, they had everything figured out in less than 5-minutes and to me, a fee of $159.00 for that is a bit steep. I would have given a rating of and quot;Aand quot; on price had the price been $100.00 or less.

The first call to Critter Control was answered by Brandy who empathized with my situation. She provided detailed information on what I needed to do before the technician arrived, what services would be offered, the possible cost, and there was no obligation to use any or all of the services. She was very professional and assured me the technician would arrive on time or if running few minutes early would call first. Brandy scheduled for later in the week. I asked if there was anyway possible the technician could come earlier. (It sounded like they were rearranging the attic.) She scheduled the following day. Kevin came after calling about 30 minutes early. Kevin was professional, friendly, polite, and obviously competent. He explained what he was going to do in detail and answered my questions. He examined the attics and determined there were flying squirrels, He checked the outside of the house for entry points and found there were bats in the louvers. Kevin reviewed the services they could provide ie. squirrel removal, seal entry points, and the cost of each. He also informed me they could do any / all of the service or I could hire someone to seal the house. There was not any pressure to use their services. Kevin came 3 more times to check the traps and seal the house. The office called me to schedule the visits and also provided a reminder call the evening before. Each time Kevin was on time for each visit and answered my questions, many of which I realized he had already answered during the first visit. It was such a relief to have Kevin walk through the door and know the problem would be taken care of by a qualified and experienced person you could trust.
