 + 0 moreI know they'll do great work, but it's never an easy in-and-out with CH Tire. I feel like I always pay for more than I intended to, and their prices are certainly not competitive. That said, with a 3-year warranty on all of their work, I keep returning because I know they stand by their repairs.

Description of Work: Tires were near need for replacement, when i got a screw in one of the tires. decided to go ahead and replace the tires rather than repair one and then replace a few weeks later. They could not get the tires i wanted until the following day, so my options were to wait a day or get a recommended similar tire. I decided to go ahead rather than risking the tire with the screw in it. The service writer was very nice and knowledgeable and went above and beyond to get the tires to their location quicker than normal to have me repaired before lunch. They were professional and courteous. They earned an A rating in every category related to service and workmanship. The only category they earned a B in was price. A few days afterward i saw that other dealers had the tire for a little better price. Overall, the small difference in price was worth the exceptional service.

Description of Work: I took my 2004 Monte Carlo in to have an oil change and have them install a cold-air induction kit, est. at $120. The mechanic raised the car with the lift directly on the left spoiler (made of fiberglass), requiring it to be replaced and repairing a bent wheel well. (cost $2,300) Also, the installed cold-air induction kit was not installed properly, requiring me later to have it re-installed. (cost $90) |I will admit that the owner and shop manager were very nice in repairing the damaged wheel well & spoiler, but I was out $45 on the re-install of the cold-air induction kit, and the loss of use of my auto for 3 days while it was being repaired.

 + -1 moreNo problems, they changed the gaskets in one afternoon, steamed all the oil off my motor and got me back on the road by 5:00 pm.
Description of Work: Replaced my value cover gaskets because I had an oil leak.

 + 0 moreI have used Chapel Hill Tire several times, primarily because of its location, but also because of the service they provide. Generally they have done a great job and I will continue to take my car there. I wouldn't call them a bargain, but I don't think their prices are any higher than other service centers and they do quality work quickly. This particular time, they checked out my brakes (which were having issues) and found out they were still covered under warranty. They also rotated my tires and changed my wiper blades (which they pointed out were cracked). The only problem I have with Chapel Hill Tire is the fact they they are only open until 5pm on weekdays, and aren't open on the weekends. But I know that going in, so it's usually not an issue, and they can usually get things done very quickly. In this case, they couldn't get a part they needed, so I had to wait over the weekend and an extra day to get my car back, but it was not a huge problem.
Description of Work: Checked brakes and serviced them (repaired them under warranty); Replaced windshield wipers; checked and rotated tires.
