The repair itself went fine, although cost more than I expected. The problem was that the technician was careless during the repair and got black dust/soot on the upstairs carpet during the repair. When I called him about the issue the following day he did return to the house but denied that it was his fault even though there was no other explanation for the carpet getting dirty in the exact location he was working. When I asked him to help pay for carpet cleaning, he refused. He did offer to remove the fan motor that he had installed and return my money, a proposal that seemed very strange to me. First,  why would I let him go back up and undo a completed job, potentially causing more problems. Second, the cost of carpet cleaning was less than his service fee and he would have been better off splitting that bill. Ultimately he refused to take any blame for the situation.

He is very dependable, very conscious about his work, he will explain what he is doing and takes the time to do that for you. Very reasonable priced. I would recommend.

I have been using Central Heating and Cooling for all of my air
conditioning and heating work for over 18 years. Grant Jordan is a
trustworthy, capable, and professional individual who I can trust with
any work I need to have performed. He has replaced heating and air
conditioning units in two separate homes with no issues at all. He has
taught me, on several occasions, how to diagnose an issue and perform an
easy repair in order to avoid a service call. This has saved me
hundreds of dollars. He is extremely trustworthy as evidenced by the
fact that I simply leave him a house key and he has performed whatever
work is necessary for years with no incident. He also promptly returns
my calls for service and finds time to make himself available.
After
he had kept a couple of air conditioners working despite their age (23
years), he replaced both units for me. He was able to complete the work
in a couple of days, including running a special pipe from the ground to
the second floor. The units are running perfectly and with no issues.
He took away the old units and even though the location was surrounded
by bushes, performed the work with no damage to the greenery.

Mr. Jordan is very nice, professional, and clearly knowledgeable. He also makes every effort to help as soon as he can. A pleasure to deal with.

Although he showed up on time I think he saw the job wasn't going to cost much so he stuck scissors in the tubing in order to have to replace it. Then when he told me that cleaning and removal of dirty vents and ducts was included he left them dirty and I had no clue where these went back so my ducts were open for a while and I couldn't get them back in b/c I'm pregnant and couldn't get on ladder. He was very rude and also charged me some additional $99 service call fee that was never disclosed over phone.
