Great job. Always left notes advising me what they had done and how my dog was acting that day. Always refreshed her water bowl too.

I have been using Bull City Pet Sitting since they opened (5+ years).  The owners and staff are wonderful!  They care for your pet(s) as if they were their own. In addition to normal feeding, medication, etc., they will even bring in mail, turn on/off lights and feed the outdoor birds.  I am always confident that my indoor fur-baby and outdoor wild critters will be cared for exactly as I care for them while I am away.  Highly recommend!!!!

We certainly hate to hear that you encountered difficulty attempting to scheduling service with us. After reviewing our business and personal voicemails, emails and scheduling system, we have no record of contact with anyone by your name. We’ve also had no other reports of issues with our messaging service that may prevent us from receiving your message. Our company policy is to respond to all callers and client emails within 12 to 24 hours. If you review our Yelp and Google reviews, you’ll find no other issue with returned calls. Unfortunately, Angie's List doesn’t provide a record of the date and time of your call or the number dialed, however if you can provide us this information we’re more than happy to continue to look into this issue. While did notice that your home address is outside of our service area, we still encourage you to contact us so we can attempt to determine the breakdown in communication. If you’re still looking for a great pet sitter, we suggest contacting Kate’s Critter Care. Kate covers your area and we highly recommend her services. For future clients, in addition to making reservations by phone, we strongly encourage you to use our online scheduling system to book new service or contact us by phone, if needed. [member name removed]- best wishes on your pet sitter hunt and our offer stands, feel free to call us so we can attempt to discover the breakdown in communication. A woman named Heather is one of their people, and she comes in, feeds the cats, sweeps the litter and puts the male in some place we ask. They are generally responsible. We have a pretty shy cat that the cat sitters made an attempt to have some contact with him, but were unable to, and he goes under the bed whenever a stranger comes.

I have a sensitive, high-energy Shepherd dog who is extra high maintenance when there is a change in routine (like my being out of town, for instance!). He is also particular about new people. I had taken him boarding on previous instances, however the monetary, time and emotional cost of this was great- I would have to load the dog in the car, he was usually miserable at the boarding place (evidenced by a paw injury the last time I took him boarding from him trying to escape his gated area- this later got infected), usually smelled when I picked him up (unless I sprang for the additional cost of getting him a bath!), and he would take at least a week to get back to normal once I got home! Not to mention that boarding is not cheap! I finally decided to abandon the boarding idea altogether and pursue a dog-sitter who would come to my house (which would keep my dog in his familiar environment). With several strong neighborhood reviews, I called Bull City Pet Sitting. At the consultation before setting up services, the owner, Jen, and my dog, the same dog who can have questionable reactions toward strangers, instantly connected. He was rolling over for belly rubs before she left, and from our conversation regarding my home and the dog's routine and the information she provided regarding the services, I had complete confidence turning over my keys and alarm code. The pricing is straightforward- for my one dog, each 30 minute visit (which covers walks and feeding and playing and whatever else that could be a part of our routine) is $15. From my alarm system, I know that they stay the whole time scheduled. They've always been super at communicating (my first trip the dog had a tummy upset- Jen called to let me know and even came back an extra trip at no charge to give him white rice- her suggestion- to help him recover!). And the best part is when I return home, my dog is happy as can be. In fact, leaving him now is actually more of a treat, because of the care and attention he gets from two of his new favorite people, Jen and Heather! As a bonus, I've been able to adapt some of Jen and Heather's tips when I'm back with my own dog- including the white rice suggestion and a leash change that has revolutionized our walking routine.
