The problems were easily identified. He had to run out for a part, but was back in no time. Total time spent was a little under 2 hours.

Came behind a jackleg "handyman" and fixed the ceiling fan, which had faulty wiring and improper mounting.

We had a power outage at our house, and had to use our generator. When the power was restored, I shut down the generator and switched our generator transfer switch box back to line. Once I did that, certain rooms did not have power. I thought it might have been a fuse. I called Bryant Electric and spoke to Angela. She is a wonderful person. She worked me into the schedule and had someone at my house in 20 minutes The technician, Darrell, did an amazing job. He located the problem very quickly. Apparently one of the switches on my transfer box had gone bad. Darrell got the power back up and running in no time. I am extremely happy with the service Bryant provided and will be calling them again in the near future!!

The fan wiring went well. There was a mix up on the generator hookup but it was quickly and fairly resolved. The technician who came was very good, up font and honest.

They did the original service in an adequate manner. However the technician pushed us to sign an annual maintenance contract which we did. The provided no servicing for the term of the agreement, nor did they contact us when the agreement was expiring.

I used these guys for the initial inspection of our house before we bought it this summer so decided to give them a call for these projects now that we own it. They did a good job (very prompt and professional) during the inspection, although we got burned by an overlooked maintenance issue with one furnace when the weather got cold in November, so maybe the inspection wasn't as thorough as it should have been. In any case, with this estimate, the numbers came in a lot higher than I had expected. I tried contacting the estimator from Bryant Durham shortly after receiving his quote via email to suggest different approaches which could reduce the cost. Additionally, the estimator said he would check with the County to see if there was a cheaper option to one approach he outlined. In both cases, I did not hear back from him. That was disappointing. Since then, I haven't done the projects. This was work sitting there for this firm to take, but their unresponsiveness (or at least the unresponsiveness of their representative) has left me cold, and I haven't chased them further.

After reviewing your comments I would like to assure you that we are very sorry you feel you did not get what you expected from BDS. To address your first concern, I pulled the paperwork for the inspection of the HVAC systems which was done in June. I noticed that our technician recommended repairs that were needed. These repairs were not made by our company. To address your second concern, our estimator did call the City of Raleigh Inspection Department and related that the cheaper approach you were interested in would not meet code and therefore we would not be able to do the work with this option. We are fully licensed and therefore, when/where required, we pull permits for all of our jobs. These jobs must meet code to pass inspection. Our estimator also noted that you requested your estimate to be itemized. In order to do this we assume that you might not do all the work at the same time and this would add additional costs to the project with multiple trips and permits. Again, we certainly apologize for your impression of our company. We have been in business for over 50 years and strive every day to have complete customer satisfaction. Appointment was scheduled for between 8-9A. Technician called at 8A to say he was on the way, arrived about 15 minutes later. Within 10 minutes had found the problem, a loose connection. Was only charged the diagnostic fee. Technician was very professional & pleasant to deal with.

I couldn't be more pleased with this service. Michael was professional and courteous throughout the entire service. He explained my options for wiring up the receptacles (which would be used for powering security cameras), and recommended the best choice for me security-wise, even though it meant more work (in an extremely hot attic) for him, but still less cost for me. He even explained where I could get coupons for the service, which saved me even more money. The price was very reasonable, and was actually much less than I expected. This company is definitely my company for electrical services from here on out.

Called on a Sunday. Requested someone for the next day to look at non cooling AC unit. Was contacted the next day early in AM and technician showed up two hours later. The technician was very polite and professional as was the office contact person. The technician diagnosed and repaired the problem with the AC unit immediately. We could not be happier with the service or professionalism of this company.

Manny was fantastic!! He is an absolute professional. He is kind, knowledgable and efficient. I wish every repair technician was like him. As an added bonus, the repair was much less than I was expecting, which isn't why I'm writing this note. Bryant-Durham Services has serviced our HVAC units in the past and I have always found them professional and easy to work with.

The provider scheduled an appointment time and the technician called 30min prior to arrival. The technician (Manny), was an absolute professional. He talked us through everything he did. He was extremely knowledgable - the exact sort of technician I hope I always get to work with.

Previous owner had interconnected two circuits in a way that created a life safety risk. Bryant had to tear both circuits apart to finally find the (clearly intentional) interconnect and rewire the circuits properly.

They serviced two HVAC units, cleaned the coils,and removed debris from the units. Shawn, the technician was very professional and knowledgeable. We highly recommend this company. His estimates were comparable to others we got and lower than some. Reviews by previous customers were superior. BryantDurham and their staff had a good track record. They did not quibble about a few addt'l repairs to ducts and insulation that were needed. We chose the best option, a four ton XL-18 Trane with two stage compressor, air handler and digital thermostat . I never felt any pressure to buy more equipment or service than we needed. Work was completed on schedule in a very organized and professional manner, with mgr checking towards the end of the installation. My impression is that this company deserves their good reputation and performs in a quiet and competent manner. "No drama".

I flip houses and consider myself a customer service fanatic. Bryant-Durham was AWESOME! I got quotes from four companies and they beat all of them AND they installed a better unit than the other companies would have provided. The service was excellent. They kept me up to date on the entire instillation process. I will use Bryant- Durham for all my electrical and HVAC needs. Its great knowing that I have access to such customer focused company.

We called our local electrical company who came out, dug up the area and confirmed that the neutral wire to the house was indeed bent. The electric company ended up replacing the neutral wire and; to date nothing in the house has been shorting out. I can't thank Bryant enough for what was a life saving diagnosis on what our electrical problem was. Bryant was responsive to us and we shall forever be grateful. Thank you Bryant!

Bryant Durham literally saved our lives. Since I had purchased my house in 2003, there had always been an electrical short. If the TV in the living room was on, it would cut out when I would turn-on the microwave or the garbage disposal. However, over time the shorting out was getting worse. As such, I looked to Angie's list, found Bryant's name and called. Bryant came and after checking everything (from A to Z), he suggested that it could possibly be the house's "neutral wire".

Easy to get convenient appointments - the person on the telephone was very helpful. The installer was great. I tried to put up the first fan myself (what was I thinking?) so he had to undo a bit. He was on time, friendly and professional. I asked for him for the next two occasions. I was pleased each time with the service provided. Bryant Durham Services will have my future business.

He came checked the panel and the plugs for current. Then he saw the switch that controlled the dishwasher and the microwave in off and turned it on. They charged me for the cost of diagnostic which I was told prior the service.
