We've hired the contractor but has not started yet. Once again, the survey request is premature.

Went very well --- took about 2 weeks --- kept me informed as the progress went along, such as when subs would be there.

Inside and out they did a top notch job.  Had to remove a seat top in the shower and did so without breaking ANY tiles!!  Put it back together perfectly and it works perfectly as well.

It is outstanding, It is beautiful and the work was done well. It was clean, ever with all the sanding of the floors. The people who did the work were pleasant and nice to talk too! They did really good work. We love them.

BERCON has completed two projects at our home. The first was a laundry room renovation that included redesign of a hallway and enclosing a deck addition. | |The second was a 540 sq ft addition that included a new master bath and master closet. As well as renovation of the original master bath and closet into a sitting room and exercise room. | |Donny and his team are wonderful to work with. They are reliable, and provide high quality service and product.

They are fantastic. They are builders and remodelers, but they have just started, within the last month,?doing home maintenance repairs, like handyman services. I recently moved to the area and my home needs some repair. I can't say enough good things about these people. They are professional, efficient, responsive and punctual. They are good at diagnosis. I have had roof repairs and electrical and HVAC?problems. All of the subcontractors I got through Bercon and I don't know what I would do without them; they are the best. They have done at least a half-dozen projects for me as well as rebuilding my front entrance. I love Donnie, the owner of the company. I only wanted natural materials used on the front entrance remodel so he explored all the natural materials available, but they would not stand up so he back to me with a synthetic. It is absolutely fantastic. I like somebody who has the initiative to go out and find a solution to a problem. They are very creative as well. They also had to remove a fountain that had nine inches of concrete at the bottom of it so they came in and jackhammered that thing to death. They are multi-purpose. Any problem that I have had in my house they have come up with a solution or person to fix it if they did not do it themselves. They will do big jobs as well as small jobs.

The whole experience with Donny was truly amazing from start to finish. We entered this, our first rennovation project, with much trepidation. In fact my husband said he would rather just move than "deal" with it. We called several contractors, names that we had collected from seeing rennovation project signs in our neighborhood, and Donny was very quick to respond coming by the next day and providing a preliminary quote a few days later. Once we had plans firmed up with the draftsman, Donny's final quote came in almost 10k less than several others. I wasn't sure if that was a good thing, so I cold called my neigbhor on the street over who had used him. She couldn't say enough great things about him, and she has done a lot of rennovating in her life. She had used him for her last three projects and said she would never work with anyone else again. She had originally gotten his name from someone else in the neighborhood who had told her the same thing. Not only was his quote lower, but his allowances (something I had been very naive about, but luckily figured out before I picked the wrong contractor) were also MUCH better than some of the other quotes, which allowed me to stay on budget from my end and at the same time pick out nicer fixtures, carpet, etc.
Donny has been doing this a long time, his whole family is in this business, which means that he has weeded out bad subcontractors over the years. He has literally worked with all of these people for years. I counted 14 subs on my project (yeah, you don't want to try to do a contractors job yourself, I promise!) and they were ALL extremely polite, respectful, timely and cleaned up when they were done. When I was told someone was coming at 8, they were there at 8. The relationship he has with the subs has an even more important advantage, he knows exactly what it will cost him to do a project. We had NO surprises with our bill, no overages from him! I can't tell you how relieved we were as we had friends in Chapel Hill who ended up with a huge overage that they had no idea was coming!
Donny is also extremely patient and incredibly attentive, he always kept me updated with what was going on and what to expect, inspected everyones' work at least once a day, contributed long hours of his own on the project, provided me with critical suggestions on how to improve the project as well as how to save money without compromising quality, and always responded to my texts either immediately or within a few hours. He also provided me with valuable opinions in areas where I just didn't have enough experience to know what I wanted. The entire project looks amazing and was completed perfectly on time! Honestly my experience was as close to flawless as it gets. We will definitely be using him again - and just like my neighbor told me, I wouldn't dream of using anyone else!
