We got our initial estimate a year before we had the actual work done, we weren't really ready for the price and after getting the number we played around with the idea of doing it ourselves for a long time. To be fair they were hand painting, not spraying, and we were changing color on all the siding and trim, so it was more than the usual "freshen-up" coat of paint. We finally decided that doing it ourselves wouldn't be feasible with everything else we were trying to do and called Steve back. He came out and gave us a thorough walk-through about the job and honored the initial estimate for the job. We wanted to replace our shutters and Steve even offered to pick them up for us at cost and just charge us for painting them. That was a hassle off our hands. Steve gave us a great deal of information about the process and issues we might expect to see in terms of minor repairs or any problems we would have.
They pressure washed the house the Friday before the job and the house looked so much better it was amazing. They even did the front steps and sidewalk. The day of the job Steve came out with the crew to get things rolling. All the guys were very nice and respectful and were good sports about our dogs that were flipping out inside the house. Painting will always make a mess but the crew were very good about picking up after themselves and piling all the paint cans and ladders up in one spot at the end of the day. Due to some spotty rain we were having at the time there were a couple days they weren't able to work, which was understandable, but I would suggest a process for notifying the customer in those cases. I wasn't a big deal, except we had boarded the dogs that day to get them out of that house and we wouldn't have done that if we knew they weren't' coming. It wasn't raining in the morning so it wasn't obvious at the time they wouldn't be coming. That was my only (very minor) grip though. 
The job they did was thorough, and the house looks fantastic. All the little repairs they did were well done. I was very surprised that they came out on the weekend to finish the job (due to the rain delays during the week). All in all I would highly recommend them.

I waited quite a while to write a review.  Paint can look fine for a while but you know the quality after a few years.  Even after three years, my house still looks great.  The quality of materials and workmanship is outstanding.  He was professional, responsive and went above and beyond at every step.  What is above and beyond?  For example, they pressure washed the house before painting.  Normal right?  But they also pressure washed my front porch, walkway and some old teak chairs on the porch.  No extra charge.  Who does that type of thing these days?
This paint job is not some spray and run away type job.  They hand painted my house.  Three guys on ladders up to 40' in the air brushing my house.  Incredible!   I was ready to replace my gutters to be sure they matched the new paint scheme.  He said, no way should I replace them and he would paint them instead.  Siding, trim, garage doors everything and they all still look fantastic.
I had major wood bee damage.  It looked like a root tiller had been taken to my soffits.  Really, that bad and over a lot of area.  He repaired all that and you can't tell it was ever there.  Fantastic work that has held up over a long period of time.
When finished, the walk through was practically military.  Mr. Bennet walking me over every inch of the job and three guys at the ready to snap to any touch up issue.
I don't write reviews often (this is review number two, ever).  But Bennet is a step above others and worth the time.

I took estimates from several contractors; Bennett Painting was not the lowest, but he was the lowest that impressed me with his professional approach and knowledge. He knows a great deal about painting houses, and anyone who hires him will get all the information they could ever want about proper temperatures, waiting periods after rain, ethylene glycol, and what the trim should look like.
There was an understandable delay in the original date of service due to weather, but he kept me informed and I got no feeling I was being put off. And once the crew started, I also had no impression that they were pulled off to try to finesse commitments elsewhere. They used brushes, not rollers or sprayers, and I think I got an excellent job.
He had prepared me for paying extra to replace siding, since there is no way of knowing for sure how much siding needs replacement beforehand; I thought what he charged me for that was low, but he would not take any more for it.
I recommend Mr. Bennett without reservation.

Excellent service beyond what was expected. Mr. Bennett came out on May
2, gave me a written estimate on pressure washing and staining my deck
(about 310 square feet), called a worker who was finishing up another
job nearby and his worker came and the deck was pressure washed within
the hour. I had two potted juniper bushes on the deck that had
seen better days and he and his worker carried them out and said they
would recycle them. He also offered to have the worker pressure wash
and bleach the white front railings on my townhouse entrance (which were
moldy) at no extra charge. On May 10, after several rainy days, he
called and said the deck staining job would be done that afternoon and
it was. He is coming back to move a heavy marble topped table back out
onto the deck next Monday. I will definitely use his company again for
all future painting needs. His price included the purchase of a high
quality stain that matched what had been used previously.

Steven came out and seemed very knowledgable about his work. He did not try to upsell on expensive replacements and offered a excellent bid for the work. During the process he was very involved and regularly checked in to see if everything was going as expected. His team did a really good job and out house looks amazing. He even suggested that we paint the door a different color so that it would stand out and it really does. They did a great job cleaning up as well. Additionally the deck looks great. Would def use them again.

Based on recommendation of a friend and good reviews on Angie's List, I called Bennett Painting.
I received a ballpark estimate over the phone and then a confirmed estimate the next day (after Steve had a chance to see to my home). The work included pressure washing entire exterior, cleaning all windows (from outside), and pressure washing and re-sealing my deck.
I asked him to go ahead and do it and we agreed to scheduling it for the following week. Most of the work was completed on Tuesday of that week. Crew returned on Thursday to finish (needed a day in between for the deck to dry).
My exterior now looks so nice and clean (all the cobwebs are gone!). I also am amazed at how my deck looks now (it used to be very gray!). Steve Bennett and his crew did a great job! I plan to hire them next year to paint my house.

The house looks great. They showed up on time, worked quickly, and completed the job in 3 days. The owner and crew were very professional and a pleasure to work with.

Excellent! They were professional, careful, and highly competent. They scraped and sanded all surfaces, using drop cloths OUTSIDE to catch the chips so that the lawn and shrubs would stay clean; took off their shoes inside; scraped and painted the inside of all windows. I wouldn't go anywhere else for painting

They are in the neighborhood and have painted a lot of houses. They are a great company. The job was a small job, so he squeezed it in between other jobs. I wasn't really sure when it was going to be done, but I knew that he was going to take care of it. He is somebody I can trust and is sort of the go-to painter around here. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.

I got them through a friend and I was happy with them. I thought the experience was fine. It was so long ago that I don't remember if it was spectacular or not.

There is no enough room to describe how unacceptable the painting was and how difficult this situation was for me. Rarely were dropcloths used. Pain had to cleaned off windows, floors, doors, furniture, flie cabinets, kitchen appliances and most of the house. The painters were uncooperative and ingorned me when I asked them to pop the hardware, remove faceplates, tape outlets, use drop cloths, not put the paint cans on the hardwood floors, and many other items to protect my house and possessions. When I called Steve to discuss the issue, he yelled at me saying: "I give you plenty of free work. You are too hard to please. I am not making any money off you--I have bills to pay!". I explained to Steve that I NEVER asked for any thing free. "I expect to pay for the work to be done and I expect quality work--and I know that quality work costs. I fully expect to pay such. If you choose not to charge me for something, that is your choice. I am not responsible for your choice.". I further told Steve that if doing this work was a problem that perhaps we should terminate our relationship. Steve countered with offering to redo all unacceptable painting and promising all paint would be cleaned up and the windows would be made operable. Bubba came over Tuesday, June 15 and did an excellent job making everything right. Even though Bubba saved the day, Steve Bennett should not have needed Bubba to save the day,

The crew from Bennett was on time and did the work in about 3 days. They carefully prepared the walls so the coats of paint would adhere properly. They were well-supervised and did a great job cleaning up when the job was done.

HE IS EXCELLENT AT WHAT HE DOES. HIS EMPLOYEES ARE VERY COURTEOUS AND RESPECTFUL. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEIR SERVICES TO ANYONE WHO NEEDS AN EXCELLENT PAINT JOB ON THEIR HOME.
