It was a circuit breaker issue. I had tried unsuccessfully to fix it myself. Mr. Smith responded promptly and fixed the problem at a reasonable charge.

Crew worked hard and provided great value. Showed up when they said and estimate was accurate. One of the items they worked on, a motion sensor, does not work well.

B Smith's Electric has done a fantastic job for us. Brent the owner is professional and personable. We lived in an older home built in the late 1940s that need to upgrade our electrical service from 100 amp to 200 amp service. He was great. I wish I could say the same about the Duke Power subcontractors who came with out any prior notice to install the underground power line for the new service. Duke Power subcontractors started work without looking for any of the marked utility lines and then were incredibly rude over the phone to my husband after they broke a underground pipe! Sorry I digress.
Brent worked with us to get the new utility box installed in the house. He coordinated with the city's electrical inspector so that they could inspect this work while my husband and I were away at work. We left in the morning; he did the work, had it inspected and then the power was restored by the time we got home from work. That part was as smooth as it could. We are also using B Smith Electric for another job: installing power to our new screened porch. I'll write another review when that's done (which should be soon). Great to work with and reasonable prices.

Arrived on time, gave an estimate, I gave the go ahead and they went ahead and did the job.  Only took about 30 minutes.  I'm very pleased.

Brent's original estimate was only for upgrading the service to 200 amps and keeping the new panel in the kitchen. When he arrived to do the work I approached him about moving the panel to the basement and splitting off the circuits. These extra tasks would require more work and I told him I would pay more to have them done. He and his crew took most of the day to do the work and he didn't charge me extra for moving the panel to the basement or splitting the circuits.
I found Brent to be very easy to work with and he did a very professional job.

They did a very nice job and I would recommend them to everybody. I thought their price was good and very reasonable. They came when they said they would and did the job. They were very professional.

He came right out when we called. He came very quickly and solved the problem very quickly. It took him less than half an hour to solve it and I think his hourly rate is about $125 but I am not sure because my wife handled that. We had some other people look at the outlets, nobody could find the problem, and he came in and figured it out immediately. We were very, very satisfied with the job. He was on time, he was very pleasant and he obviously new his stuff. I think his price was very fair.

The work took him and his crew about a half day, plus an early visit of a couple of hours by Brent Smith to put in the floor receptacle before the flooring people came. Very responsive and on time, despite some bad weather.

I called B. Smith and described the work we needed done. After answering a few questions they gave me a quote ($175) and I scheduled the work. They came at the appointed time, did the work, and then cleaned up the mess they made cutting the hole for a new floor outlet. They were courteous and proficient. The final bill was for the quoted amount.

This is the third time we have used Brent for electrical services in our home and we would definitely recommend him to anyone needing electrical work done. Brent is courteous, prompt and professional. He explains everything thoroughly and charges a reasonable rate. A good value!
