It was a total nightmare!!

"The attempted chargeback she persued has been reversed in our favor by her credit card company. We have been paid in full for an extremely difficult restoration job. We have in good faith attempted to work with them under our warranty policy, as we stand behind our ouverhaul work, but they refuse to cooperate with our repeated offers. We have been serving the Durham and surrounding communities since 1994 and have been in business since 1979 (started in another state). We have over 17,000 customers on our books, and are very concerned with customer satisfaction."

The woman a Anthony's Clocks thoroughly examined the clock and was able to give me an estimate. The repairs were done in a timely manner, especially since this was around the holidays. More work was required than was estimated, however I wasn't charged more than was estimated. The clock works great. I will definitely use this repair shop again. They also carry a nice selection of used older clocks for purchase.

I had recently inherited a grandfather clock that had not worked in over 20 years. I knew the clock would be signficantly expensive to fix but it is a sentimental piece and I wanted it done correctly. A friend recommended Anthony's Clocks and when I saw them highly rated on Angie's list I knew they were the folks to trust.
Mr. Anthony came to my house and determined after working on it for about an hour and half, it was going to need more serious work done that required going back to his shop. He explained what he thought was wrong and how much it was going to run. He let me know they would first determine what the problem was and exactly how much it would cost to repair it before they did anything.
True to his word his daughter called me to let me know what was wrong with the clock and she made two recommendations. One only slightly more expensive than the other but a better investment.
The movements had to be replaced since it was never cleaned or serviced in its lifetime. They were very informative explaining why clocks wear out and how to prevent this in the future. Hopefully now that my clock is repaired with regular servicing every few years it will run like a champ forever. They were very professional and personable Mr. Anthony knew exactly what number customer I was in 20 years of repairing clocks which I thought was impressive.
Mr. Anthony is a real character and a very nice person.
I have been extremely pleased with their service and highly recommend them.

Excellent. Not only did he fix the bonging and restore accurate timekeeping, but he also made sure all five strikers were hitting - only four were before. I could hear the difference! He also taught a lot about my clock, how it was made, how it works, etc. Much more than just a service call!

I can not say enough good things about Diane Dennis and Anthony's Clock Repair. They also do jewelry and watch repair and sales, I have purchased several items watch related. Try them you'll be very glad you did!!!
