I did A LOT of research on companies and systems. I got 3 different opinions and estimates. Went with Alt. Aire and am very satisfied. They care about their business and their customer's satisfaction.

Alternative Aire had already replaced our gas furnace and AC unit downstairs. They were quick and just wonderful. They even found an air handler on sale and passed that savings on to us. The invoice was less than the estimate. How many other companies would have done that? Not many.

Really well. Scott was knowledgeable and trustworthy. They did not hard sell or push for anything we did not want. They were respectful and took a lot of time explaining and diagnosing our issues. Danny must have been here for 1 1/2 hours doing the initial estimate. It was a complicated job and the workers were polite and enthusiastic. They are installing a new air handler this week for the upstairs.

There was poor communication and some things left undone that they had to return for. They should have closer inspection before leaving the premises. Their price was fine. We have a contract with them so we're forced to use them to service the system. We would not probably select them for a new install.

The initial visit was on 6/9/16. It didn't take long for the service manager (who came out himself) to identify the problem. He checked over the entire a/c unit & determined that the only problem was a leaking evaporator coil. They tried to schedule the fix for the next day but the distributor could not locate the proper coil. The coil was replaced on 6/14 & the system is working perfectly again. As always the folks from Alternative Aire are prompt, take care to not drag dirt into the house & explain the problem & possible solutions clearly.

Such nice guys! Came out when there was still snow on the ground and freezing out. I really wanted someone to come out and inspect our current units and make sure that it was working properly and that we wouldn't find ourselves suddenly without heat at a bad time of year. The house is new to me and one of the units looks a bit older and questionable(not sure how old). The guys didn't try to up-sell me on anything and were very down-to-earth. I had one small part that needed replacing because it was working way harder than it had to and he did a couple of other tweaks. He also consulted with me on what would need to happen if I wanted to switch over from propane to natural gas, which I plan on doing soon. I will definitely be using these guys again!

Because the furnace did not work, the house temperature at night was 58 degrees. I immediately contacted Alternative Aire and they were able to send a technician the same day. He found that the blower was inoperative, so he ordered a new one immediately, and another technician installed it the very next day so we did not have to suffer through another cold evening.
Everyone with whom we dealt--the office manager who called us to schedule the technician visits, Danny, the co-owner who came to our house, and Scott, the other co-owner who obtained the blower--were all professional and helpful.
And the best part was that the blower for the Amana HVAC was covered under the warranty so there was no cost other than a couple of cold nights.

We had our upstairs AC go out and had a company come out and diagnose as leak in TXV, but before they were to come out, our neighbor recommended Scott at Alternative Aire, so we cancelled with the first company and had Scott's team put do the repair. They recommended replacing the entire coil rather than just the valve since the valve would take longer to get in. Costs would be the same. They came out and did the repair for the same amount they estimated. Unfortunately, a few days later the AC stopped working properly, but Scott's team came right out and adjusted some pressures and refrigerant, and we were good to go. We did have them come back out about a month later for one last adjustment and now our A/C is working more efficiently than ever (Enrique found that the blower motor was set incorrectly on install; after adjusting, we are getting colder air than ever!). I should also mention that the last two follow-ups were prompt and also free of charge, as they are committed to making sure their work is perfect.
Glad we found them, and will call them next time for sure!

I contacted the company on Thursday & they came out on the next Monday. I had purchased my home a few months earlier & wanted to have the HVAC, specifically the heat pump, checked out & serviced in preparation for the upcoming season. Trent arrived on time & he was very pleasant to work with. He answered all my questions & explained thoroughly what he had done. I am very pleased & plan to have them service my unit in the future.

They sent a notice each time that they were going to be there and texted me the day of they were going to be there. They did the job and were very professional. They got the job done over 2 days. They cleaned up after themselves and wore booties while in the house. The owner was very responsive, knowledgeable, and gave me 4 alternatives with different prices and was very thorough throughout the whole process.

Scheduled a monday appointment with these guys after my ceiling AC unit was leaking so badly it looked like a rainstorm in my kitchen. They were on time and got straight to work. They assured me that they had worked on older units like mine in the same property (my place was built in the 70s and my AC is outdated currently) They asked me numerous questions about the unit before they started to investigate. They never made me feel uncomfortable or demeaned, as a woman. They said the problem could be one of two things, low freon or a pipe being blocked. They checked the pipe first since it was easier to check, and they quickly ruled that out. (coolant had to be checked on the roof, given the construction of my place) They explained everything they were doing to the unit. Eventually, my father (who owns my condo) came over just to be there, they explained that my coolant was low, and why my unit had been dripping so badly. They added the proper amount of coolant and double checked everything. My place feels great! They were in and out in maybe 30-45 minutes, I will definitely use them for all my HVAC needs in the future!

Easy to deal with online scheduling. The initial evaluation and follow up services were easy to schedule and completed on time. They have a preventative "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" attitude which is very refreshing compared to larger companies that always want to sell you a new system, component, or service contract when all your system really needs is routine maintenance. They seem very honest and fairly priced in their estimates and recommendations and have a positive attitude. Scott came out an did an initial system evaluation because my system was running more than usual. He recommended cleaning and routine maintenance and also gave me the quotes I requested for a new system install so I had an idea of what to expect when I do get to the point of needing a replacement. Curtis came and did the cleaning/tune up that Scott had recommended. He also checked my system for any other maintenance issues and refilled refrigerant that was a little low. My system is working more efficiently now and I also have the comfort of knowing what to expect as far as time and expenses required when my system does need to be replaced down the road.
