Work was done in a timely way, very professional and everything cleaned up perfectly after the job.

I chose Alpine Roofing to replace the roof on my house after gathering several proposals. They were neither the cheapest nor the most expensive, but I felt that they offered the best value, and had received several recommendations for them. They showed up on schedule, and completed the job in the amount of time stated. They also did a reasonable job at cleaning up afterwards and minimizing damage to plants around my house (which was a stark contrast to the company that replaced my roof last time!). Christian was very enthusiastic and very pleasant to work with, and the roof looks great! I would not hesitate to use them again, nor to recommend them to others.

David Miller was the lowest bid that we received for a metal roof of the
three reputable contractors that we contacted in the Durham/Chapel Hill
area, and he was also the most willing to explain how his roofing
service differs from others. He knew his suppliers, and I was impressed
that Sheffield Metals buys their steel from US companies. I also
appreciated his using Velux for the three solar tubes that he installed
for us (another American company that manufactures its products in
America). His crew removed our old roof and installed the subroofing
within a day, and over the course of a week, they installed the metal
roof. Ours is a large house with several valleys and other obstacles
that required a fair amount of careful measuring, cutting, and installation. The end result is nothing short of amazing--the roof looks even better than I had imagined, and the solar tubes have let some light into what were cavernous rooms.

David and his crew were friendly and professional. He never gave me a hard time about the guarantee not being and quot;transferableand quot; (since ownership of the house has changed since he did the original work, and I don't have any of the original documents other than the final invoice), nor did he try to claim that the guarantee was void due to and quot;improper maintenanceand quot; or anything else I've heard of other people having trouble with when trying to get things fixed on warranttee. He did not try to blow me off since I was not myself personally a paying customer, or offering him a paying job.
Upon his inspection, he explained that the problems were likely caused due to the slope of the porch roof being really shallow, and that the previous owners (since they were leaving) had ordered the barebones cheapest materials, but still stood by his work and and quot;made it right.and quot; He didn't ask for any payment, or try to sell me on any upgrades, and he even inspected my gutters on the other side of my house for me. I was worried that they might need repair, but he inspected them and told me that they were actually ok (which was a big relief for me, as I am on a tight budget right now).
So, in summary, I can't speak about the full roof replacement experience, since I wasn't here for that, but I was impressed with how Alpine Roofing stood by their work, even when years had passed and ownership had changed, and on what was probably a one of their smaller, more inexpensive jobs to begin with. I will definitely call David up for any future roof or gutter needs.
