Work was performed in highly professional matter with high quality. Crew cleaned work area up at the end of the day so that there was no mess for us to deal with. Excellent personnel assigned to our project. Explained what work was planned for each day.

The craftsmanship and attention to detail employed to accomplish all of these improvements was truly outstanding. Alex was able to seamlessly maintain the look of the house, having trim milled to match the existing trim, remaking windows, plastering areas where doors had been so that we couldn?t even tell they had been there.  Alex?s patience and clear prompt communications were likewise excellent. All of our questions, and we had many, were promptly and expertly answered.  Costs were clearly detailed and
reasonable.  There were absolutely no unpleasant surprises in terms of the quality of the work or the costs that we incurred.  Work on the project was continuous [they did take the 4th of July off] and the jobsite?our occupied house, including a teenage daughter and three dogs, one of whom is clinically insane --- was as clean and livable as could be expected. We have been finished for
about 3 months now.  Completely finished.No loose ends. We can?t thank Alex enough. The quality of the workmanship was excellent, communication was very easy, the costs were very fair and transparent, and the end results were perfect. 

These guys are artists. Hire them, you won't regret it.

when i ask for more weather proofing to be applied, not only did they do so. They actualy searched to get the Color the matched my building. i am very greatful.

He did a great job, my curb less shower is great the water stays where it is supposed to. His main worker Kevin  was so detail oriented and such a great worker. They were very patient about all my decision making . Kevin and Alex were a great to work with I would work with them again if I had the opportunity. They let me make my own design decisions they encouraged and guided me through my design choices. All of his sub-contractors were good to work with as well.

They showed up always on time.

They took a lot of time to work with us and gave us good ideas. They were able to handle a lot of things. They were experienced and did the job as we wanted it. They installed two wall hanging toilets and did it without any issues. We actually looked at other companies from Angie's list but, they couldn't handle it or didn't want to. AG Builders Inc were very thoughtful in that way and was always calling us and willing to take our calls. They were dealing with all our questions and queries. They were very calm and very easy to work with. They were accommodating. We actually changed the design of one bathroom in the middle of the work and they did it easily.

Because the house was built in the 1960's we were concerned about lead in the wall that we wanted removed and asbestos in the ceiling and old floor.. AG builders is lead certified and dealt with the lead issue and hired an asbestos certified contractor to deal with the asbestos. They took care to minimize contamination and did a great job of cleaning up after the ceiling, walls, and floor were removed. All the people working on our project were professional and very accommodating. For example, we wanted electrical outlets added to a couple of other rooms in the house which was done immediately. We added a few tasks to the project and they were quickly handled. All of the personnel working on our project ware great. They took pride in doing a good job, kept the job site clean and neat, and cleaned up at the end of the day. AG Builders was very helpful in making recommendations for paint colors and other things that made the job easier for us.The finished product is wonderful. Everyone who has seen the new kitchen/living room and been impressed and said how great everything looks.We were really impressed that we always know what the work schedule was and who would be working when. They always kept to the schedule.  Overall we were extremely pleased with the project.

We have a beautiful remodeled master bath thanks to Alex and his team. Alex was more that wonderful to work with. He carefully explained what would happen and how they would take care of our remodel. This was the first time we had such a big project in our home and was a bit nervous.  We were even able to stay in our bedroom while the bath remodel was done.  They installed a plastic wall with a zipper for us to close off our sleeping area.  It went very well and I would have Alex and team back working on my home any time.

These guys are very professional and detail-oriented, and everyone they work with (both subcontractors and employees) does excellent work.  They show up on time, are friendly and polite, keep everything meticulously clean, and contain the chaos to the area immediately under renovation.  Most importantly, the work is just beautiful -- my new kitchen is both a joy to cook in and gorgeous to look at.  Their attention to how all the parts would work together really paid off in the final product.  As with any renovation, particularly of a somewhat older house, they ran into a few unforeseen problems (everything from a hitch with the city's historic preservation committee to finding a discontinuous ceiling joist) and took them all in stride.

Their estimate was actually the highest one that I received but it also was the most detailed and included everything from permitting and port-a-johns to granite counters and bicycle racks.  My overall price went up only because I ended up selecting some materials (e.g., glass tiles) that are both more expensive and costlier to install.  Otherwise, their price came in exactly as estimated.  I'm not sure that these would be the guys to use for a small job or one where you're looking to get it done on the cheap (e.g., for a rental unit or a quick resale) -- their strong suit really is in larger projects with more attention to craftsmanship.

Work was performed as contracted.  They maintained a clean work area throughout the project.  The work was completed ahead of schedule and for the contracted amount.

Overall, I am very pleased with the work that Alex and his crew performed. Alex is very particular about doing things the right way. This was very important to me. We did have a few issues which is not unexpected since I am very picky. All my concerns were addressed to my complete satisfaction. I also asked him to look at a few things "Since you are here" and that was not a problem. Alex insists that his crew keep the job site neat and clean which was appreciated. I fully intend to use this company for my next remodeling project.

Quality is outstanding. They understand the meaning of the phrase "do it right". They followed up for 6 months at no cost w/ minor things like caulk splitting when seasons changed. We've lived in our place for 20 years. It is where we're raising our kids. It is our "home", in every sense of the word, and when I need work done on it, I trust these guys to do it right.

Our success in managing the project within a targeted budget was largely due to their creativity and flexibility. They suggested alternatives with a range of costs to meet our budget. I never felt the prices charged for changes were unreasonable or inflated. In fact, I felt they were doing all within their power to find ways to reduce the project cost. The overall value delivered for the money spent, exceeded our expectations. We found both Alex and Greg’s honest, straight forward, “say-what-you-mean-and-deliver-more-than- you-promised” style refreshing and comforting, especially since we were not able to continually monitor progress. We recommend AG Builders Inc. without reservation, especially to those considering extensive renovation work but also to anyone considering construction projects of any size.
