Overall, the work went good with James Dills Electric Inc. They have got good reviews. It went real good, they did a good job.

The most disappointing aspect of using this service was the rate.  I had used them before, several years ago, and found their rate to be fair and reasonable.  Because of this, I did not inquire about their current rates. I was quite shocked (after the second visit) to find out it is $80 an hour.
After the initial visit, I asked how much I owed and they did not give me a quote.  They were at the house the first time for one hour, and the second time for about 15-20 minutes to install the two light fixtures. I also did not receive a receipt for the work perfomed.

The first time they came took down the four light fixtures. The one electrical box needed to be moved but they were not willing to move it.  It was suggested to me that I get a fixture to cover the off-center box.  However, the only fixtures would be track lighting or hanging pendants with a large ceiling plate. That would eliminate a lot of light fixtures designed to be center mounted. The box was not slightly off-center but more like a foot and a half.

Another problem is that it is hard to get them to say when they will come for the service call.

They did not want to move the electrical box, I will be hiring another electrician to come and do that work.

Mr. Dill did do the job but I thought he overcharged us. Also he did not give us a receipt for the $175 that we paid him. We forgot to ask fora  receipt.

We needed a dishwasher installed and consulted with several local companies.  I remembered that we had used James Dills Electric for other jobs in the past.   I had already purchased the dishwasher unit and brought it home with me.  He came out and determined that a few modifications to my existing cabinet would be needed, as well as some plumbing and wiring to the circuit panel.  He provided me with an estimate as was immediately ready to work.  He performed an outstanding installation and we were very impressed with the finished results.   He did a thorough cleanup once everything was done.  He did have to go and buy a couple of extra parts, but honored his price quote.  I would recommend Mr. Dills to anyone.  It is hard to find someone as honest as he is.
