When we dropped off the computer Thomas, the owner, listened to the problem, examined the computer and gave us a best-case/worst case scenario, along with a cost for each. One of our pet rats had eaten into the battery charger, and Thomas said he'd try a refurbished charger, but told us the cost if he couldn't use the refurb.
Several days later he called to tell us the computer was ready, and even offered to stay late for a bit if we couldn't get by that day. That's the kind of company he runs.
When we picked up the laptop, everything worked fine, including the refurbished charger he'd suggested (which saved us about $40).
Thomas is great at what he does. He and his employee are friendly and affable (But not obsequious. I HATE obsequious), technically outstanding, knowledgable, and reasonably priced. As an added bonus, the store doubles as a small museum of computers and electronics from days past.
Highly recommended.
I was distraught when I went to turn on my virtually brand new PC and nothing would happen. I am somewhat of an enthusiast so I tried to troubleshoot and fix myself. It wasn't long that I realized I needed a professional. PC CRISIS is the number one rated repair shop in the area so naturally, that was my choice. I dropped the PC off on a Thursday and it took Tom less than 24 hours to diagnose. It was a relatively new computer that I had built myself so the parts were still under warranty. Unfortunately, it took the manufacturer a couple weeks to get me the new parts. Once they came in Tom was able to install and test.
Overall, I was extremely happy with the service that Tom provided. He was down to earth and extremely thorough in explaining my options. I would recommend him to anyone. There is a reason he is ranked #1 on Angie's List.
Tom has been taking care of our computers for several years and we are very satisfied with his services
THANK YOU Paul and Tom!!
I have to say, Tom is as good as it gets. I absolutely trust what he does and what he says. Period.
