Shy's Design & Construction is a local owned business out of Davidson, NC. Shy's has been in business since 2005, we are 4th Generation in the construction industry. We have crews of experienced construction experts that work on all our projects. We offer free estimates within a 15 mile radius of Davidson. We proudly serve Lake Norman, Huntersville, Cornelius, Davidson, Mooresville and parts of Charlotte. We are Insured and Accredited with an A+ Rating with the BBB. "We offered the client a simple storage building at a very reasonable price as they were working with a tight budget and we wanted to accommodate, as we are in this business to help. The project location was an hour from our area so traffic was a concern in getting to the project. The quality of the project was exceeded for the amount quoted. Client was charged $ 550.00 for Labor. In building there are several classes of construction, we gave client mid-class build for low class price. We ask the client upon completion to inspect the structure and inform us of any concerns. The client did not inspect the structure on the last day of work, they looked out the window and gave it an ok. As far as we were concerned the client was happy. We received a negative feedback. At this time we realized the client had an issue. The client never contacted us with his concerns. So we contacted the client and offered to come out and address his concerns, at our expense. We informed him that if he would of simply contacted us we would of taken care of the issue, that being that 2 coats of paint weren't enough. Exterior siding was T1-11 siding which asorbs paint, we quoted for 2 coats of paint and gave the client 4 for customer satisfaction. We also constructed a ramp for the client at no charge. Majority of project cost was the materials. Soffit vent was installed as recommended. If squirrels want into a structure they will find a way. Overall in 5 years of business we have never had a complaint until this client. Client wanted a $ 4000.00 building for $ 2,000.00. We gave him this for the price quoted. We did not make anything on this project after gas and expenses. One complaint out of 227 clients is pretty good odds. Sometimes you can please everyone no matter how much you try ! Please do not base our company reputation from one incommunicable client, as we always go over and above to make sure that our clients are completely satisfied. We have an A+ rating with the BBB in 3 years of membership. I feel that speaks highly on how we manage our business. Have a blessed day and we look forward to serving you in the future."
