Paul B. Clark, Architect PLLC
About us
We build thoughtful houses. The process begins with an initial consultation to learn clients' exact needs and desires as well as the total project budget and any unique challenges posed by the site or existing conditions. This meeting(s) is followed with a proposal delivered to the client detailing the scope of the work and the architectural fees. The architectural work begins with Design Drawings which formulate a design solution. When complete, these drawings are sent to a prescreened General Contractor in order to obtain a preliminary cost estimate, thereby insuring the project remains aligned with the budget. If necessary, adjustments to the design are made and then Construction Documents ("the blue prints") are created. These documents allow multiple Contractors to bid the projects in order to obtain the best price for the work to be performed. Finally, it is often advisable to have the architect examine the construction work at critical stages.
