Very disreputable company!! They performed work under the Lowes contract and I have had a lot of trouble. They are unfriendly, unresponsive.
The template maker made some mistakes. The counter top was ever so slightly too long, the overhang was not ground smooth, and it was missing 2 of the 3 back splashes that were supposed to be included.
The installer was doing his best to make corrections. He had an accident while making these repairs; his grinder blew up and shattered my glass oven door. I called Surface Products and they said they would take care of it, but I had to call over and over for 2 weeks before they made arrangements for someone to come out. When the repairman did come, they had not made arrangements for payment. The guy couldn't do the work without payment. After being on the phone between Lowes and Surface Products for over 90 minutes, I ended up paying for it myself. They actually said that they had to get the installer to make the payment and that he was at lunch and would have to call back later.
I called the installer on his personal cell phone and he told me that he had quit immediately after working on my job. He said that  Surface Products gave him a hard time about the accident and are making him personally pay. They lied to me about, saying that he still worked there. He said that he had been doing this work for 25 years and that this was the worse company he'd ever worked for.
Not only all of this, but when they finally came back to install the 2 missing pieces they don't even match! They are darker and thicker
than the original material.

From start to finish the experience was great and just what Brenda had explained. What at team and joy. After the down payment and choice of granite it was exactly one week to install, which was wonderful. They came in and measured, then cut and preped it, and installed it as promised. They were all great to work with. We absolutely love it. There was only one small oversite and that was a hole was placed in the counter for a soap dispenser like we had had, but didn't want anymore. We will use it like before, but we had thought we could live with out it and just get the soap from underneath the sink when needed.
It is beautiful with the flow of it placed how we liked and we like the bar not having to have braces under it, since we shortened the width a little bit from before. The braces were nice and matched, but we really didn't want to use it as a bar like before, but more for an area to place food on for serving and not eating at. They got it how we wanted it. We are so excited and the place looks new, fresh and updated.

We decided to do a kitchen makeover on a tight budget before a more major renovation in a few years. We wanted granite, but it didn't make sense to spend a lot of money. After pricing low-grade granite at the big box stores, we decided to take a chance and check out some granite remnants at Surface Products. (Current kitchen not too large, so remnants were an option.)  We stopped in without an appointment, and the salesperson (Jeff Rush) was very helpful and took the time we needed to answer questions and look at the slabs and remnants with us.
We ended up spending about the same -- maybe even slightly less -- than we would have spent at a big box store for a truly spectacular piece of stone. It's Brazilian Diamond & just beautiful, lots of mica chips and swirls of different color. Even though options were limited for the remnant on how to cut, they did a very nice job laying out the seam and templating.
The installers (Travis and Mike) were also great. We are kept our original cabinets (maybe even original to house, from 1936), and the install was definitely a challenge because the surface was not level. This was not expected from templating -- the old tile countertop had been leveled on the surface using quickset -- but they did a great job dealing with it. They helped me shim underneath some of the cabinets and shimmed under the slab until they got it level with a flat seam.
Great experience throughout, will definitely use them again for bigger kitchen project, bathrooms, etc.

They do not work with marble, but they do repair countertops. They came out and gave us an estimate providing us with two different ways to complete the repair. We chose the more expensive method. The man who provided the estimate was very professional and knew exactly what he was doing. They were absolutely superb from the first time they came out to give us an estimate to the when the job was completed. They arrived, picked up, and completed the work on time. They were very punctual, courteous, and knowledgeable. They literally removed the whole portion around my sink. They picked it up on a Monday and delivered it back on a Wednesday. He recommended using a piece of the backsplash so that the granite would match. It looks amazing and matches so well that you cannot tell at all that there was a repair. They were just great. I cannot recommend them highly enough and I was so delighted with them.

I was very satisfied with Surface Products. I used them in my bathroom before and was very pleased. I used them in my kitchen now and this time, I was not so pleased. The reason being they took out the garbage disposal and did not leave me the parts so that I could replace it. So I had a plumber come in here. My husband went back out there and Surface Products said they would get the parts for him. Well, they should have left the parts at our home. By then, we had already bought some parts. So I was not pleased with our communication with them. It was not good.

Here's our recent experience.  We had a double sink vanity replaced in our master bath - turnkey job.  Price was competitive but the installation had multiple issues.  Listed below is what we experienced.
*Scheduling of reconnecting the plumbing wasn't adequate (scheduled too soon for reconnect - caused confusion and multiple trips by the plumber.  Instead of scheduling for the next day - was scheduled for 6 hours later)
*Measured wrong on side backsplash panel - had to make a return trip for a new side panel that fit.
*Caulking wasn't done correctly - had to make a return trip for filling in gaps between backsplash and countertop.
*Workers didn't remove shoes - dirtied the carpet going to our upstair bathroom.  Had to clean ourselves.
*On removal of old countertop - unnecessarily ripped sheetrock top layer causing us to have to re-puddy/paint bathroom walls.
*On removal of old countertop - hit the master bedroom door frame - causing a dent and area that needs painting.
Workers didn't acknowledge any of these items - had to point them out to management - which I did by pictures to illustrate.  Management basically "apologized" but that was all.  No offer to make right any of the concerns we pointed out.  Now I have to pay someone to repair the items and have them painted etc.  The countertop itself looks fine - just a painful process for supposedly a turn-key solution and a hassel to have the repairs done on my dime.

They were excellent. They had good pricing and good service. They were very professional. Granite seams are a big deal, and they did a really good job with the seams. I would highly recommend them to others. They weren't the cheapest.

.They were pretty straight forward. They took quite awhile to come to install the countertops. and definitely negotiate the price with them.
Response from Surface Products Inc
"We are always happy to work with a homeowner to stay within their budget. Not sure if this customer priced the same product elsewhere, but the price they received was well below the typical price in the market. This particular brand currently has problems with backorders, so installation lead times of several weeks are typical for this product only."

The templater and the installers both did a great job, this is my second experience with Surface Products and the quality of their work is top notch. Though I selected a remant, they have a huge selection of stone. Very professional and great craftsmanship in their work, very pleased.

I was having a hard time finding white quartz for just a vanity counter top. Surface Products had it in stock. I went to their showroom to see the actual color and then they cam out to template the counter top. The next week they cam out on time and installed the counter top and hooked up the plumbing and installed faucet. Everything went very smooth.

They did a great job installing our countertops and backsplashes. They even installed the undermount sink. They were on time and professional each time they came to the house. They had the perfect color of granite in remnants and it ended up being much less than any other place that we looked. The only complaint I have is that they put a block of wood on top of the dishwasher and said that it would hold it in place and could be removed with a screw if we ever needed to take out the dishwasher. Of course a few months later the dishwasher broke and had to be removed. The repairman couldn't get it out and there was no screw that could be found. We ended up having to call them back out and they had to break the block of wood in order to get the dishwasher out. Kind of annoying that they didn't mount the dishwasher in a better way but then again they didn't come out to mount a dishwasher. Overall we are very happy with the service and would recommend them to anybody!

I was very pleased with the pricing and responsiveness of Karen, the salesperson I worked with mostly via phone. She exceeded my expectations, going the extra mile to find another slab from same dye lot to match a slab I had purchased earlier. I was satisfied with the installation and placement and appearance of seam. Although installer initially did not cut out cooktop opening large enough (he should have tested size of hole by inserting cooktop that was on site and available) - two installers did return promptly within a few days and made it right.

THEY WERE EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL AND THE MEASUREMENT AND FABRICATION WAS PERFECT. THE GUY WHO CAME OUT AND MEASURED, AS WELL AS THE INSTALLERS, WERE VERY CAREFUL AND NEAT IN THEIR WORK. IT WAS A GREAT EXPERIENCE AND WE WOULD DEFINITELY USE THEM AGAIN.
