They began by first removing all the furniture, toilets, pedistal sinks and even the bottom cabinets in the kitchen so they could get to all of the bad subflooring from the leak. We were very impressed with how they took great care of all of our furniture and belongings. They began demolition and removal of all the old flooring and damaged subfloor. When doing the demolition Ryan found that my floors were beginning to fall in and the footers of the house needed to be replaced and also added 2 more footers where the last contractor we hired failed to do so when they rebuilt the floor on the previous renovation when the hardwood was installed just 5 years earlier. After they fixed the footers they jacked up the house and resupported the floor. They installed the new subflooring making it even more level than the day it was built in 1917. When you have a home that is almost 100 years old you worry about things like the floors falling in and I am reassured now that my lake home will be around forever. Now they were finally able to start the tiling, which was amazing to watch them do they are truely craftsman and took their time to make sure every tile was just right, using levels on every piece of tile making sure that they were flat and even next to each other and would even pick the tiles back up several times until they had just the right amount of addhesive under them to make them level. Once they finished installing the tile they reinstalled all of the cabinets, toilets and sinks. We also had them install new base boards for us as well.
When Quality First finished all their work they put my furniture back the way that it was and the house was very very clean! I have never felt the floors in this house so solid and the tile work is amazing!! Quality First did an excellent job they were all very courteous and polite and went above and beyond our expectations.When they were finished it was like walking into a brand new home. We will definitely be repeat customers in the future and would refer them to everyone we know.
