NIBLOCK HOMES

This company charges a high amount, and gives shotty workmanship. They subcontracted a carpet installer, who installed a lot of carpet in my neighborhood, and not one of us was happy with the results. The day they installed, I walked in and could see every seam in the carpet. If you order something, and then they don't install it correctly, they will come back and tell you it is against code, which seems to be there way of not wanting to fix it.

They were veyr resonesive. They built the hause in a timely manner. They showed up on time to do the work everyday. They were very well organized when they were working.

The experience has taught us to look more carefully into the builder?s reputation next time & choose one who insists on building better than code as I learned many do. The NIBLOCK sales strategy seems to put a fancy looking front on for drive-by curb appeal to suggest the house is much more than it actually is & cut cost everywhere else. After you move in you will soon realize you are missing much of the quality usually provided by other builders in this price class. Another concern is what happens if a dangerous storm hits? Will our minimum code roof hold? Are we safe? We don t know. The problems are most likely our responsibility now to disclose or fix before we can list and sell this house. We're frustrated knowing it should be better. Based upon our experience with NIBLOCK, I personally don t believe the positive reports posted here. Most likely they were written by an anonymous sales rep; they read more like a sales talk then a genuine experience.

They have a great attitude! No questions asked, they just do it! They are on the ball, and I am very pleased with them.

Overall it was lousy. I am so glad we were there watching throughout the whole building process. So many things had to be replaced because it was not what we originally picked out at the decor center. In the beginning everything seemed to be running smoothly but after you close its like they don't want to have anything to do with you. I had to write Mr. Niblock himself to get a response. We have been in the house now 6 months and it has been mentioned to them more than 10 times, was even on your inspection report that there is a major drainage problem that is affecting our front lawn, they still have not fixed it. They insist that according to codes everything was built correctly. There are minor things in the house that took them over 3 months to fix. They are very unresponsive, poor customer service skills. If you want a major headache and a lot of regrets then build with NIBLOCK, if not I STRONGLY ADVISE you to go somewhere else. They are not worth the price.

They have very low standards. We have a countertop that was sanded incorrectly, has a dip that makes it look dirty. The hardwood is cupped. The installer even sees it. Niblock says it is normal. Floors in places are unlevel, a level even rocks. Their construction caused the sidewalk to be very orange in front of our house. I have tripped on the ceramic tile in the kitchen. Again, within their standards. If you want a house built, go to D.R. Horton. My daughter had no problems with them. They also earned an award. We have had emails and phone calls ignored for 9 months. After writing Mr. Mark Niblock, someone did come to look at things. They denied every item on our list. Trim around the doors is cut short and globs of white caulk like stuff oozes at the bottom. Buy Niblock and you will get a lot of one thing, excuses.

NIBLOCK HAS BEEN EXCELLENT TO WORK WITH. WE MOVED FROM INDIANAPOLIS AND LOOKED AT EXISTING HOMES WHICH DID NOT QUITE MEET OUR EXPECTATIONS. WE WERE SHOWN A NEW NEIGHBORHOOD BEING BUILT IN WESLEY CHAPEL AND NIBLOCK WAS ONE OF THE BUILDERS. WE HAD ACTUALLY BEEN SHOWN A HOME THEY BUILT FOR THE 2002 HOME-A-RAMA AND THE SELLER TOLD US HE DID NOT HAVE THE QUALITY IN HIS NEW HOME BUT MOVED FOR MORE SPACE. WE WERE PLEASED AT THE QUALITY WE SAW IN THE HOME AS WELL AS THE MODEL HOME BEING SHOWN IN THE NEW NEIGHBORHOOD. NIBLOCK IS AS CLOSE TO A CUSTOM BUILDER WITHOUT THE CUSTOM BUILDER PRICING. THEY DID EVERYTHING WE ASKED THEM TO DO AND MADE ALL THE CHANGES WE ASKED THEM TO MAKE. THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS PLEASANT.

MY HOME BUILDING EXPERIENCE HERE IN CHARLOTTE WAS WONDERFUL. IT STARTED WITH MICHELLE AT THE SALES OFFICE. SHE WAS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE & ABSOLUTELY KNOWS HER STUFF. SHE HAS FANTASTIC VISION & MAKES GREAT RECOMMENDATIONS. MY WIFE & I SAT DOWN WITH HER & BASICALLY DESIGNED A NEW FLOOR PLAN BASED ON ONE OF THEIR MODELS. KEEP IN MIND, NIBLOCK IS NOT A CUSTOM BUILDER, BUT THEY WERE WILLING TO WORK WITH US IN EVERY WAY. WE WERE ABLE TO CHANGE ANYTHING & EVERYTHING WE WANTED. LANCE WAS THE SUPERVISOR OVER MY CONSTRUCTION, & HE TOO WAS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE & HELPFUL. HE KEPT EVERYTHING ON A TIGHT SCHEDULE, & SEEMED TO HAVE A HANDLE ON EVERY PART OF THE CONSTRUCTION PROCESS. I WAS EXTREMELY SATISFIED & HAVE ALREADY RECOMMENDED THEM TO SEVERAL PEOPLE WHO ARE CONSIDERING BUILDING.
