Leo returned my call promptly and I explained what I needed to have done. Because of the rain, he was postponing an exterior paint job and would be able to do my job the next day. The interior painting job he did for me was excellent. I was very pleased.

Leo arrived on time and completed the work to my entire satisfaction.  Very meticulous and took care to select the best quality material.

They were very professional and thorough. Did an excellent job.

He did a nice job. He was a little bit rocky on the promised point of start but good results. Their price was average. I would probably use them again.

Leo and his crew are incredible -- he runs a reputable business and is extremely easy to work with. Leo and the guys pressure washed the entire exterior of my home, including some retaining walls that were incredibly moldy and covered in algae. They also helped me pull down a fig vine that was growing on the side of our home and had gotten too tall for me to maintain. They also did exterior painting on some wooden beams on the exterior of our home/garage, as well as some interior painting in my daughter's bedroom and playroom. Everything turned out beautifully. They were done with all of the above in just 2 days. Leo is also very communicative -- quick to answer or return phonecalls and help. I will definitely continue to use Leo in the future!

Leo was fantastic.  He and his crew did a beautiful job.  My house was pristine when he finished and he was very well priced.  I recommended him to my parents. He did a beautiful job on their house as well.  I'm about to call him again to paint some interior rooms.  I would not hesitate recommending Leo.

Leo Roan Painting was professional entirely.  He prepped all surfaces, repaired anything he thought would improve the job, covered all fixtures and furniture.  THe work was done on time and exceeded my expectations.

Our house was built in 1948.  We purchased the home in 1999 and really should have had it painted then.  However, this is the first time we've got it painted.  Obviously it needed a lot of work. 
Leo came out and did the quote himself and it was very reasonable. We did have additional costs as agreed because there were a lot of damaged areas especially under the gutters. 
Leo set everything up personally and was on site every day to check on things and do work himself.  The work was done quickly, less than a week from start to finish. 
After the primer went on we decided the color wasn't as dark as we wanted.  We talked with Leo and he was willing and able to change to a different paint color in the middle of the job which was much appreciated. 
Leo has been great to work with and did a thorough job.  We are tickled pink with the way our home looks!

Overall it went great. Leo does excellent work and has done many historic homes including the Duke Mansion and a couple of old houses on Main Street in Belmont. He uses only high quality paints and knows exactly how to do a quality job. He was on time, excellent communicator and a very nice guy overall. I enjoyed not having to worry about anything and he did everything he said he would do and then some. The finished product is beautiful and I WILL be using him again! I think the 1 negative comment posted here is unfair and not at all what I just experience. His price may not be the lowest, but I don't think you can get a better quality job and I've hired over a dozen painters in the past 25 years. Leo is real gem!

He didn't perform the services that he said he was going to do. He sent two men out to my house to look at a few boards, on the side of my house, that needed to be replaced. Instead of replacing them, he patched them. He cut corners in every aspect of the project. He was rude and disrespectful to my husband and I, and also to his workers. He did a poor job of pressure washing the driveway.

We had used Leo to paint our exterior last year and all had gone very well. So it was a no-brainer to call him for this job. We knew it was a big job going in. We had a lot that we wanted done and we decided just to do it all and have it done well. 
Leo walked the house with us but we noticed he did not write anything down. We asked for a written quote and he said he'd be in touch. We planned to have the job done in about a month's time. Both my husband and I called Leo to ask for a quote and he ended up giving us a ballpark figure for the costs ($1500-$2000 - maybe a little more, maybe a little less") and said it would be "time and material."
There was some back and forth about when the work was actually going to begin but my schedule is pretty flexible so it was no big deal. On the first day, they came an hour before the agreed upon time (7:30, rather than 8:30) but that was ok....forced me to get going in the morning! Leo knows his craft and he teaches his guys along the way. The painting , etc, was very well done. We are very happy with the finished product.
My advice with Leo is to make sure he writes everything down and make him give you a quote. The ballpark figure we got from him was $1800-$1300 less than the final amount. The job was bigger than he remembered and I had to tell him several times what we had originally requested. He is busy and tries to give you his individual attention but we needed to have everything written down going into it to avoid confusion and paying more than we had been led to believe the job would be....

I joined Angie's list to find a decent painting contractor.  I researched the top contractors on the list and decided to get two quotes.  I was looking for a smaller,  painter-owned company rather than a large painting contractor. Both contractors were prompt, courteous and provided on-the-spot bids.  I selected Leo Roan based upon the questions, comments and recommendations  he made and  his great price ($2000 less the first contractor who also wanted 50% up front).
 I have a 3,200 ft2 two story cedar wood house with a large deck (800 ft2) and a storage building (400 ft2).  Leo and his crew powerwashed the house, deck, and shed, replaced some rotten window sills, caulked, painted the house and shed and restained the deck.  His price included all materials and the paint/stain was of good/high quality.  Leo and his crew were punctual, polite, quiet and methodical.   I paid Leo when the job was finished.  The house looks great and the price was right!  I will definitely call Leo Roan again when I have the interior painted.

He did a really good job, gave us a very reasonable quote and was on budget, was on time, reliable, and was a pleasure to work with.  I would certainly recommend him and would hire him again!

I approached Leo while he was working on a neighboor's home.  He was extremely friendly from the start and offered to quote my house on the spot.  We walked around our house and discussed the details of what he would do which was quite thorough.  He quoted a fair price and we shook on it on the spot.  He told me he would be back the the following Sunday at 10:00a.m. to begin pressure washing, and assured me that he would be doing much of the work and be on site through the job, which I did not expect but appreciated. 

The following Sunday at 9:30a.m. he was there with one member of his crew and began the pressure washing.  They went well beyond what I expected, washing not just the house but the gutters (actually cleaned them out) and the concrete steps which led to the house which were not going to be painted.  For the rest of the week Leo was ALWAYS there first thing in the morning between 6:30 and 7:00a.m. (hot week, started early) and we discussed what was going to be done that day, updated me on changes needed to the job and generally got on the same page with me concerning colors, process, etc...There were a few additional items that we agreed to include as the job progressed which I appreciated because we finished with a 100% quality job that will preserve our old home for years.

Leo and his crew (Mike and Pedro) exceeded my expectations.  They were all kind and a pleasure to have at our home for a week.  They are hard workers and appear to enjoy their work.  We likely will not need his services again for the exterior because he did such a quality and complete job, but I will not hesitate to recommend Leo and crew to anyone.  If we have a need for interior painting I will certainly call Leo.

In all his work Leo has performed above expectations. He used the best quality materials, worked tirelessly to complete the work in the time estimated (even when the weather wasn't always cooperative), and he was always very responsive to our requests for changes or extra attention. Above all, I have found Leo to be honest and fair. He delivers on all that he promises and he does so at a very reasonable price.

Leo Roan was recommended to me by a contractor when I expressed a desire to have the exterior of our 4000+ sq ft home painted and stained and the interior 2 story stairwell, hallway, and bonus room painted. He showed up promptly and quickly gave a very reasonable estimate. He worked around my schedule to begin work and showed up promptly each day (and even Sat and Sun!). Leo had several painters whom were very friendly and helpful answering any questions I had. He also had a carpenter who was able to replace a screened door, rotten wood on the soffit, and rotten wood on the porch. They completed the work in a week's time. Leo was very willing to correct any minor mistakes, and didn't even charge for correcting damage from my dog. He is very trustworthy, hardworking, and genuine.
