Excellent. They were on time very professional, cut down a couple of small trees for free and cleaned the area up.

He is a real good tree man. I would use him again, but his prices are a little high compared to some of the other tree people. I only use him on certain specific types of things that will require more expertise than normally. In order to find somebody that has an Arboriculture Degree. Arboriculture is a degree that is kind of like horticulture except it is strictly with trees. You have to go to Charlotte to find one of those. It depends on how much expertise you want working for you. If you want someone that has got a degree in arboriculture, you have to go to Charlotte and get one of the big people over there. 

He is real good, he is excellent. He is very expensive. He is the highest price in town, but he does good work. You can?t find anything wrong with what he does. I don?t think he has a degree horticulture or arboriculture. He is just an old hard working guy that just got out and started working hard and trying to make the best of things. You don?t find people that have degrees in this kind of work very much. I would recommend him to anybody. I would let everybody know that he is real proud of his work. That is kind of slang way of saying he charges a lot and thinks a lot of his work. If you have got a limb that has blown over on your house, he will come over and take care of that. 

I interviewed several service providers and selected one. I chose not to use Layton's company only because they were unable to meet my timeline. However, I was very impressed with Mr. Layton's knowledge and professionalism. I would have liked to use his company and may do so in the future.

Mr. Layton is thorough and professional.

Limited access to back yard and trees being close to house required a crane.  Crane lifted all branches and sections of trunk  over the house to front yard.  Branches were immediately ground and trunks carried to dump truck.by a bobcat.  Hardly anything touched the ground. Layton had a crew of ninef.  They completed the job as estimated in three hours!!  They came fully equipped with grinders, dump trucks, crane and stump remover.  It was like a small army with all the equipment.

Layton was referred to me by another tree service company because of the need for a crane.  Price was competitive.  They were very careful to protect the driveway from damage from the weight of the crane by using special pads to distribute the weight of the crane.  Clean up was great.  Other than the trees gone you couldn't tell they were here.

Layton was great.  Strongly recommend.

They were professional, didn't waste time, brought a lot of equipment and workers, started the job about 8:30 am
and by about 1:30 pm they were finished with the whole job.  They did everything they said they would, and left our yard clean, neat, and were very careful doing a difficult job.

Overall experience was positive.  See above for details.

Layton came out on Saturday 3/17 to estimate the job.  They had said they would try to come on 3/21 afternoon but if they didn't get there, they would come first thing on 3/22.  They called 3/21 night to say they were sorry they didn't make it but would be there the next day.  They showed up on 3/22 at 8:45am and went right to work. 
There were about 5 or 6 guys that came to do the job, Layton included.  They worked quickly and efficiently.   Excellent experience. They cleaned up so well, I could hardly tell they had fell the tree--other than the shavings around the hole where the stump used to be!
They did ask to be paid in cash though but I knew that before they came.

We had trouble connecting on a date, due to weather and the holidays but when they finally committed to being here - they were on time and did a professional job.  They did what they said they would do.  Larry and his team did an excellent job 'cleaning' the areas up after the trees were down - there was no "after work" for us to do.  Would not hesitate to use them again in the future.

The tree service went great.  They were careful with the bucket truck and where they put the downed tree.  The trees were close to the house and a new fence.  The work was done quickly and carefully.

All of the workers had a brief Safety meeting and got to work. Each individual knew exactly what he had to do.
It was as it they had orchestrated the work ahead of time!
