Lay of the Land (LOTL) offers good product at generally reasonable prices. I have used them as a source for sand, gravel, mulch, topsoil and railroad ties. My most recent transaction involved purchase and delivery of two bundles of railroad ties, as well as the delivery of several cubic yards of topsoil, and a couple of cubes of mulch. Delivery was punctual, materials drop was exactly where I requested it, and unlike a lot of delivery drivers, Jerry's guys didn't scar up my gravel driveway. Jerry and his employees are always friendly and helpful as well. One bit of advice: shop around before using LOTL for everything, their stone prices are a little higher than other folks. Also, there's a flat $50 fee for deliveries, no variance for distance. That's nice if you're across the county, less so if you're close by. If you have a pickup or trailer, it's often more economical to pick your materials up from their lot, if you're not too far away, so calculate carefully.
