Chimney Pro

Description of Work: This company offered a Groupon, so I called to see if they were availalble in my area, and they said they were but asked me not to buy the Groupon and they would honor the price. So we set a date, they came out, and we went over the agreement that they would clean three chimneys and cap off the unused one, for $200.00 and my sister was there to witness it all. They cleaned two chimneys and advised me that there was no reason to clean the third one, since we were capping it off, so I reluctantly agreed. We had also discussed putting a damper in another chimney for an additional $50.00. He told me he would go to the local hardware to see if they had a damper in stock and would get the sheet metal cut to cap off the chimney. He called back later and asked if he could come back later in the week, because they did not have a damper in stock and he would have to order one. So I agreed. Well now it's four weeks later and he is now saying he never agreed to cap off the chimney for the same price as the cleaning. He now wants an additional $100.00 to glue a piece of metal over my chimney. No way!. My sister even witnessed the agreement and he won't finish the job. So beware! I also let Groupon know of this. The chimneys that he did clean seem just fine. But honestly, I can buy a chimney broom and a flashlight at Lowes and save myself $200.00 next time.
