"The process is simple, a local sales rep comes out to your house and gives you a sales pitch and shows a demo.  The product is good enough, but be aware of a standard sales pitch (ie used car salesman).  This didn't bother me too much, especially if you are used to negotiation or "haggling," however, I could see where this style of sales pitch could turn some people off... if you want a straight-up estimate (I did see this is several reviews about the sales tactics, so I expected this).  After negotiating a bit, we arrived at a price, and based on my research the installed product is about 2-3 times more expensive as a professional standard screen gutter guard installation (ie from your local home center), however you must consider the product that is being installed, which in my opinion is superior.
When we moved into our home in 2011, the house had NO gutter guards, and I immediately installed a DIY from the local home store (Leaf Defier XL) which is a porous gutter insert.  The Leaf Defier product was terrible and completely clogged in large sections after only 2 years of use!  The problem was, once the pores become clogged, the product is useless!  There is no way to clean this debris out!  And, this is especially true if you have pine trees near your house.  The DIY install for this only cost me about $500, but if you imagine replacing large clogged sections every two years, this becomes expensive and labor intensive.
Therefore, I wanted a low maintenance / high quality solution, and after an extensive search I came across gutter dome.  We have already had a really hard steady rain since install, and the gutter guards function very well. The product is made in the USA, which is important to me too!
The install took place soon after the price quote, and the crew showed up on time.  They did a good job with the install, however, I had only a few small gripes about some other issues.  The crew did leave some trash in the yard of the old gutter insert remnants and some metal scrap in the driveway, that I had to walk around and pick up.  They also removed a splash guard on the front of the house, and did not replace it. This is the only reason the job was given a B.  The gutter product however is working well. Time will tell (as with all gutter products) how well this product will stand the test of time.  Maybe I'll review them again in a few years to update how well they function over time.
Only other issue is price.  This is one of the more expensive options for gutter guards, which is why I graded a C for cost, but I was willing to take the quality over cost, especially after my experience with the cheap alternative!

"I bought this service on a Friday and they came on Saturday. They arrived at 10 am and were finished by noon.
I asked them to clean my porch and my sidewalk as well (this was not included in the Deal that I prepurchased) and he did that at no  extra cost.
They were clean, professional, and very good.  I would certainly use them again.

"I live in a rural area and it is extremely difficult to find reliable and responsible yard and home improvement help. It was such a sigh of relief to actually work with someone who is honest, fair and has a good work ethic! I have a large yard that is sloped and bordering woods that was very overgrown with brambles and saplings that was bush hogged, my two story house gutters were cleaned and two small trees were cut down and debris removed- all on the same day while I was at work. I have to say I was a little nervous about what I might find, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that the quality of the work done was everything that I had hoped it would be and I already have plans and estimates on more things that need to be done around my home and yard.

Gutter Cleaning questions, answered by experts

It is not recommended to clean gutters, or do any work on your roof for that matter, without the use of a ladder. Please make sure you have a spotter and avoid slippery surfaces when performing this task.

Yes, it is generally considered safe to use a leaf blower to clear debris from gutters as long as you are wearing safety goggles and gloves. It's also necessary to have a gutter extension tool. In cases of severe clogs, it's necessary to manually clear debris that cannot be removed by the pressure of the leaf blower. Homeowners should be aware that the incredible power and speed of the output of a leaf blower can blow debris into downspouts. When this happens, water won't be able to flow through the gutters properly. For this reason, many homeowners hire professional gutter cleaners.

The kind of gutter guards you have will affect how often you need to clean them. The more basic type of gutter screen requires cleaning once or twice a year. With a micromesh screen, you may be able to extend the time between cleanings to every two years or so.

However, if you have trees near your roof, you’ll need to clean your gutters more frequently, especially if you have chicken-wire or colander-type gutter guards. If you have pine trees near your roof, you may even need to clean your gutters quarterly, as tiny pine needles can get through any type of gutter guard.

Frequently, when water flows over gutters, it indicates a potential clog, necessitating cleaning. For instance, if a twig becomes lodged in the downspout, it can lead to a traffic jam, causing more leaves and sticks to accumulate. Another potential issue is an incorrect pitch, as gutters should channel water toward the downspout. If you observe water overflowing the end cap or leaking through it, it suggests that your gutters are improperly tilted.

Yes, there are several downsides to installing rain chains. For one, rain chains have a lower flow capacity than a typical gutter and downspout system. This means that if there is a rainstorm, the rain chain can stop working completely. Rain chains also cannot redirect rainwater away from your house. In homes with a sloped yard, this could cause water damage in your foundation or basement.
