Phil came out on a Monday to assess the situation. He had to order parts, but was back that next Wednesday to complete the job. Everything works great again. He gave me a time window of when he would be at my house, and gave me a call when he was on his way. That made it easier to leave and get back to work.

I contacted them through Angie's List. I was given an explanation and rough price on fixing this issue and a time of service. Phil came out and was 30 minutes early (better than late). He went right to work and at the end of the service he explained the problem and how he fixed it. I have already added A & B to my number 1 call for appliance service.

My washing machine started leaking water early one morning and I called A&B in a tizzy as soon as they opened. Anita listened carefully to my problem and offered some troubleshooting tips to avoid having to schedule a service call. When they did not work, she said they were fully booked into the next week but recommended another repairman. I decided to wait for A&B; they were able to squeeze me in within two days. Throughout our conversation Anita was patient and took a lot of time to help me. Phil came to our appointment on time, ran diagnostics, explained what went wrong, and suggested ways to keep it from happening again. It has been a very long time since I have gotten such extraordinary customer service. I will call A&B again and will recommend them to my friends and neighbors. They are terrific!

We inherited a refrigerator/freezer when we purchased a new home and noticed that the things were not freezing properly. When we felt the side of the freezer, it was almost too hot to touch. My husband, who is an engineer, trouble shot the problem and figured out that it was either the condenser fan motor or the mother board that the condenser fan motor connects to. He needed help figuring out which one it was. Phil came out promptly on the day I called which I appreciated. He tested the wires and concluded that it was the condenser fan motor that needed to be replaced. He would have to order the part and could install it in a few days. He said that the part would cost about $120, the service call was about $80, and to return and install it was another $60 or so. Since my husband is handy I knew that he could install a condenser fan motor himself. Plus, when I went on-line and searched for the model I needed, it was about $60 (not $120). We paid Phil for his service call and his diagnosis and said we would do the work ourselves. He was helpful and told us we could pull the fridge away from the wall and put a small fan back there that would help to cool the condenser for the time being which is what we did to manage the situation. We ordered and received the part and my husband installed the new condenser fan. And it didn't work. I called back A & B and asked for Phil to come out again, because it seemed that the condenser fan was not the problem. I would pay him again for his service call. His receptionist said he would not come out again and that I needed to call another company to do the diagnosis. This completely surprised and confused me. I didn't understand why she would not send him out again--I was willing to pay him for his service call again. The whole experience left a negative feeling.

I found Phil to be a very trustworthy and competent appliance repairman and would recommend him to anyone. He arrived at the expected time, carefully inspected the microwave to determine the problem and was able to get the part and return to complete the repair within a couple days. He will be the first person I will call if I have a similar problem in the future.

A&B Appliance Service is fantastic. It started with the message I sent through Angie's List early Monday morning. Within 15 minutes, Anita called, asked what was the issue and we had set up an appointment for the following afternoon. Phil called me first thing the next morning to confirm the window of time in which he would be performing the service. Phil came very early in the window and had all of the work done within 30 minutes or so. He had diagnosed the water drainage problem within 5 minutes and said we needed a new lid switch. I would not hesitate to contact them again in the future, they were fantastic and provided great service at a very reasonable price.

Excellent and prompt service. They were able to come out the day after I called during the time they specified. Ran multiple diagnostic tests to pinpoint the problem and gave useful advice on how to deal with the problem. Service included a 90-day free follow up. Pricing is very reasonable and I received a 10% discount for finding them through Angie's List. I highly recommend them.
