I called Topsider and they said that the Shingles weren't included in the contract. I told him that I didn't have any control on picking the shingles. They left live wires in my attic too. I am disabled and can't work anymore. I do not have $5000 to fix the roof. My insurance agent came over and said the roof is going to fall off. They will not cover this because they are defective.
"While this complaint was from 2002, we did not know about it until ~2012 and just now saw it on Angie's List (3/13/18). Our response is this - Topsider designed and fabricated select materials for this woman's house. She hired a contractor to build it. Topsider was not a party to that arrangement and supplied only a basic house shell package. Everything Topsider was to supply was detailed in writing and she and her builder knew exactly what they would get from Topsider before she ordered her house. Topsider did not supply shingles, nor electrical, plumbing or HVAC materials. Approximately 10 years after this house was built she called to complain about her shingles leaking. We offered to help her find a roofer, as her builder had gone out of business during the recession. She was rude, demanding and unreasonable. Nonetheless, Topsider attempted to assist her."
