The owner, Fred Riedel, came out to look at the job to "restore" our pavers. The pavers had issues from previous power washing and a couple of rust stains from flower pots. My wife asked him if the pavers needed to be re-stained and he assured us both that they did not. He said he would come out and power wash and then come back and buff off the pavers and apply a sealant which would bring the color back close to where it once was. He did come back to do the job as promised over a two day span. He spent about an hour or so total for two days and the pavers look worse now than when he started. The pavers are still dirty with the small rust stains. He was careless in spots with the sealant but denied that of course. My wife paid him the day he did the work and did not have time to look at the pavers before paying him. When I got home from work I was shocked at how bad it looked. My wife contacted him by email and he basically told us he did what he was paid to do. (see the actual emails below) His company is called "paver restoration" so Fred does not know what that means apparently. My wife asked him about the small rust stains and he said he did not recommend cleaning those with acid. This guy stood in front of two people and said he could restore our pavers. After my wife followed up again the second time by email Fred never responded again. We might as well have flushed $442. Stay away from this company. Here is the email exchange below for reference. Also, 6 photos of before and after are provided. See if you can tell how well this company "restores" pavers. From: Fred Riedel [mailto:

As far as re-staining- that’s not a service I provide- we talked about that at our initial consult, I am not familiar enough with application methods and quality of available products on the market to make a recommendation on re-staining. The rust stains in the corners- rust stains are removed with acid cleaners- I don’t recommend using acid cleaners on any type of poured concrete to remove a stain. Without using a cleaner- I have no way to remove a stain like that. The stain on the stone? I was pretty careful not to get sealer on other areas. Is it possible that is varied color in the stone. I didn’t notice any stains. I don’t know that my comments help but please contact me with any additional questions. Resepctfully Fred Riedel Paver Restoration 919-815-0005

[email protected] Cc: Subject: Paver restoration at our home Hi Fred- I am following up with you about our project. My husband and I looked at the patio last night and we are very disappointed in how it looks. The rust stains are still in the corners by the stairs and the stair tread looks like has a large stain on it. Maybe some of the sealer got on the tread? There is just not any color restored and the areas that have some color look patchy so it appears to be dirty. Is there anything that can be done to correct this issue? I felt initially that it needed to be re-stained because it had been so long. Thanks for your help!
