Miller Upholstery Customs

We received a set of dining room chairs in desperate need of a makeover.  I'd been searching for an upholsterer for a few weeks when I remembered I was part of a women's small business group on FB.  I sent out my request to the group and Jen responded.  Sent her pictures of the chairs and what fabric I wanted to use.  We set our date to meet and she came to our house - we hit it off immediately.  

If you've ever had that feeling when you've been separated from a dear friend for years and you finally get to see each other again - that was Jen and I.  She discovered what I liked, asked great questions and formulated a game plan.  At our first meeting, she shared that I didn't have enough fabric for what I wanted, so she took a chair and fabric for the backs of our chairs - my homework was to pick out new fabric for the front.

Overwhelming to say the least!  So many choices - I was texting her colors and variations of patterns.  Jen was so gracious and professional.  Jen shared with me that her job was to recover the chairs in the fabric of my choosing and that she needed to remain neutral in the decision process...very freeing and just what I needed to hear.  Sent her samples of what I wanted and she helped me by asking questions about the design (the repeat pattern - yes, I learned something new) which helped her calculate the exact amount I needed.  Purchased the fabric and set another time to pick up the remaining chairs. 

We originally were only going to recover a few chairs (she was going to take them all and store them until we had them all done); however, my husband and I decided that this would be a great anniversary gift to each other.  I revealed my fabric choice, we chatted about lots of things and set the time to have them delivered - the week before Thanksgiving.  Not only were my chairs delivered 2 weeks early, they were absolutely beautiful - the craftsmanship was EPIC, no small detail left undone and I couldn't believe how much more comfy they were!  My husband was home on delivery day - she was on time, professional, and took more chairs back with her to recover!
We have built a great relationship and I highly recommended her to all of my friends on social media.  She is dedicated to her craft, very reasonable in pricing and gets the job done!! 

They do fabulous work and are reasonably priced. I highly recommend them! You won't be disappointed

We couldn't have been happier with our experience. Not only are Jen and her husband professional and timely, they are a lot of fun to work with as well. Jen provided a lot of feedback when I was struggling to select a final fabric and they even gave us a super quick turnaround on the project since I was due with our first baby at any point. Their craftsmanship was perfect, nothing less than what you'd expect from a big name store - but at a significantly better price AND pick up and delivery. You truly cannot ask for more. I would highly recommend Miller Upholstery Customs and will absolutely be going back to them for my next project!
