The work was done several years ago but due to my employerâ s industry I was not permitted to publish any kind of recommendation. Now that I am retired I want others to know about the enduring quality of the work accomplished. Russ was a delight, listening to us and making sure he understood. The people sent to work on site were highly skilled and excellent men. They created a screened back porch, extensively repaired old decks, replaced outdoor stairways, and added a wonderful deck. Seven years later the quality continues shining through.

Extremely Disappointing Experience with First Choice Window Door and Deck, LLC I recently had a profoundly disappointing experience with First Choice Window Door and Deck, LLC, and I feel compelled to share my thoughts, particularly about the owner, Russ McClain. It has been seven long months (While signing the contract he promised work would be completed in 8 Weeks) of sheer frustration, and I am yet to receive any response regarding the project for which I entrusted them with my hard-earned money. From the moment we signed a contract with this company, the communication breakdown was evident. It took them weeks to even respond to basic inquiries and concerns, leaving us in the dark about the Start of our project. We were promised high-quality service, but in reality, it was the complete opposite. Worse still, after several failed attempts to reach the provided contact number, all calls directed us straight to voicemail, where no one bothered to return our calls. This level of negligence and unresponsiveness is utterly unacceptable, especially given the significant investment we made in our project. Desperate for some form of contact, I decided to leave an honest review on Google, detailing our harrowing experience. It was only then that Mr. Russ McClain, the owner, decided to get in touch. His response was not only unprofessional but also incredibly disheartening. He asked if I would consider removing the review, seemingly more concerned with his online reputation than with addressing our project. Subsequently, we were left without any updates or progress reports on our project, and this has caused us immense mental stress and frustration. We have lost both time and a considerable sum of money, amounting to $5,000 deposit. It is disheartening to think that our trust in First Choice Window Door and Deck, LLC was so misplaced. Furthermore, I am perplexed by the positive reviews I have seen about this company, and I question their authenticity. It is difficult to believe that our experience is unique when there are numerous reports of dissatisfaction and disappointment. It is crucial that consumers exercise caution and conduct thorough research before doing business with this company. In conclusion, our experience with First Choice Window Door and Deck, LLC has been a complete letdown. The lack of communication, unprofessionalism, and failure to deliver on promises has left us disheartened and out of pocket. I hope my review serves as a warning to others and encourages the company to reflect on its business practices.

Russ & the guys were great! They added on to my existing side porch, added easy to maneuver stairs, rescreened & replaced my back deck. Russ gave me a written estimate & a drawing of the project. Communication, professionalism, and quality of work were excellent. Josh & Joe were detail oriented & stayed until the job was complete. I highly recommend them!

Russ and Carlton know what theyâ re doing in the construction business. They communicate effectively and there are no surprises. The subcontractors were excellent. The building plan was transparent and the timeline smooth from start to finish. I recommend First Choice without reservations.

Carlton, Russ, and Alex did a great job. They listened to what i wanted and then executed it perfectly. I am 100% satisfied with the work they performed and I am looking forward to hiring them again for another job i would like to get done.

The gentlemen were spot on for planning and follow-through. I love my new deck! It is beautiful and just what I needed! The workers were most helpful and very polite. When they finished, they cleaned up so well, you couldn’t tell they were ever there!

The finished product was a beautiful, temperature controlled, four season sunroom. We are pleased with the work.

I had both a deck built and a porch upgraded to glass windows and a double door. The porch work included some electrical modifications and installation of a mini-split for heat and AC. All of the work was done on time and in a professional manner. They even sent in a cleaning crew after the project was complete. Russ was very responsive every time I called with questions. I have more work coming up and plan to use First Choice again.

We trusted Russ and the crew to tear down our old deck and build us a sunroom from the bottom up. We added a deck and steps on the other side. It was such a pleasant experience. The craftsmanship and quality of work is exceptional. Every single person that stepped on our grounds were friendly and respectful. We are so pleased with our new addition.

First Choice is an excellent and professional company. Carlton is so pleasant to work with. We feel like he and his boss Russ are family. The communication with them and us was excellent. Alex did an awsome job as did his partner. We are so excited and pleased with our deck project. I will definitely recommend them to my friends in Clayton and the surrounding areas. It was actually an enjoyable experience working with Russ and Jay to design and build our new deck and wheelchair ramp. We had all the usual worries and second guesses, but Russ worked it all out. The result is impressive and I have bragged about my new deck to friends and family.

My covered patio was transformed from a covered porch into a sunroom with windows and a door and added more value to my home.

We hired Russ and his crew to build a deck around our newly installed above ground pool. We wanted it built from our existing deck. We explained to him exactly what we wanted. To say we were pleased is an understatement. The amount of time they put in to detail was unbelievable. The crew was kind, courteous, and cleaned up after themselves. If your looking to have a deck built look no further!

Russ and his team did a beautiful job on our windows and deck. The crews that were sent out to complete both projects were professional and courteous. They worked with us when they came across some unexpected repairs that needed to be addressed from previous work that had been done on the house. Rather than putting a bandaid on it, they tackled the issues head on and made it right for us. We will definitely be contacting them for future jobs. We’ve already recommended them to some of our friends who are in the market for upgrades on their homes. Thank you for making our vision a reality!

Quality craftsmanship and high attention to detail. The crew were professional & hard working. They took so much pride in their work. They offered their opinion about specific changes they thought they should make and I was very impressed with their ideas. I couldnt be happier with the results.

Working with Russ proved to be all pleasurable, professional and satisfying for what was accomplished. He has a keen eye for design. The subcontractors he brought in were outstanding, going far past the required work. They were perfectionists and very good men.
