Cornerstone Marble and Tile

Cornerstone did an excellent job on the tile work they provided. I do not think it would have been possible to do a better job. Yes, there are cheaper tile companies in the area, but you get what you pay for.

We have a 2+ year old home that we built in the Cleveland area of Johnston County. Unfortunately we didn't think to have a backsplash installed in our kitchen and the walls were starting to look bad from cooking stains. We decided to start pricing installation of a backsplash and I went to Angie's list for people in the area to do the work. We got several estimates including Cornerstone. Ralph Paul, the owner, came out almost immediately to measure and provide a quote. He does not actually sell the tile, but since we had samples from other companies, he spent some time giving us suggestions of what would and would not look good on our wall. Based on what he had told us we got additional samples. He actually came back a second time to look at the new samples. In the end his quote was the best we received and we contracted with Cornerstone to do the work. We had to get the stone tile, grouting and caulking from another supplier and he was willing to set an installation date based on our projected date for receiving the supplies. HIs installers arrived on time, were very friendly, and did a great job installing the tile. It was a two day effort and both days they left our kitchen clean. They were very meticulous in making sure that we were satisfied with their work and obviously took great pride in what they were doing. The entire process from quote to finish took about three weeks and most of that was due to us taking time to pick out the tile and to receive it. We were very satisfied and would highly recommend Cornerstone Marble and Tile.

I am very pleased with the work. The design of the the floor and tub surround are just like I wanted. I also wanted something besides a marble threshold, and Cornerstone suggested a good solution. The design was on the diagonal, making the tile placement somewhat harder on the floor, and and a whole lot trickier on the surround-- I am happy with the way the tile was installed. I am somewhat less happy with the epoxy grout-- it is a whole lot harder to clean up than regular grout, and once it has dried it is very hard to remove from anything. I specified the grout; and overall Cornerstone did a good job with it. But I did need to do some cleaning up afterwards.
