Brennan's Fence and Deck Installations

First off, I had to give one star otherwise could not post. I highly recommend against using this company. I had them install an aluminum fence around a new inground pool in April 2022. Originally, we were going to have the fence outside the concrete deck but, agreed to put the fence in the concrete at an additional $1,475 for a total cost of $5,475. What I will show over the next several days, weeks and months are pictures and video of the horrific end result of where the posts went into the concrete. I will provide dates of emails and unanswered phone calls going back to April. They will say that they recently spent $2,700 for a concrete company to come in and "fix" the concrete which, made it look worse. I was only offered a $300 credit due to the fact that they drilled a hole in the pool deck where a fence post DID NOT go! I resolved this by now paying in full to be rid of this company. Here are some pictures of the unprofessional way they left my pool deck. Pay attention to the big coverup of the hole that doesn't even have a fence post. The last picture represents the product from the "$2,700" they say they spent to "fix" their unacceptable work. If this is the type of craftsmanship you're looking for and nonresponsiveness from the owner Joe and the unprofessional communication with Nicole, then they are your company.

Brennan replaced a picket fence with a solid fence. I am extremely pleased with the results. The installers were punctual, worked non-stop, and did a great job cleaning up. Brennan was very responsive to our request for an estimate. The estimate was provided quickly and we agreed to use the company for this project. We were told that they had a back log of work and that they would contact us by the middle of July to schedule the work. We never heard from them so we called, several times, to get information. When we finally reached a person we were told that we had not been scheduled due to the fact that we had not yet paid the deposit. We paid the deposit by credit card during this same phone call. We were told that we would be contacted at the end of the week with the next weeks schedule. We did not hear from Brennan and called them on Monday. We were told that we were not on the schedule. They were not able to tell us when we would be scheduled. We called them several times each week to see if we could learn when they would be out to do the work. Then on September 1st we were told that the Team would be out on Friday to do the work. They did not show. several calls resulted in a promise that the Team would show up on Saturday and complete the project. They did show up, but only demolished the portion of the fence to be replaced and installed the new fence posts. We were told by the Team foreman that they would be back on Tuesday to complete the work. Tuesday came and went with no communication from Brennan. We called each day and finally were told that they needed another piece for one of the gates and would contact us when they had received this part. No calls, ever. We called each day to get information and finally were told on September 17th that the Team would be out on Friday to complete the work. Again (sigh) no one showed up. We called and were promised that the Team would be there on Saturday. No one showed up Saturday morning. We did, finally, receive an email telling us that the Team was collecting material and would be out to complete the work. They did show up at 11:30am. They did not bring all of the fence parts. They installed what they had with the promise to return on Sunday with the remaining parts. They did show up Sunday afternoon and complete the installation.
Finally the fence work is complete.

I think we were satisfied. They did a good job and reliable. The only problem we had was we had a trouble with one of the gate lock and we had called them to come, take a look at it and fix it and they never did come, so we had person that worked on the deck actually fixed it for, but they said they would come out to fix it and they never did. I probably would not use them in the future.

I loved it. Their estimates were very good and the guys who came out to do the fence themselves were just awesome. They were super friendly and helpful.

Brennans was the best of multiple quotes we received on the job, but their responsiveness was unacceptable once we agreed to the job. We had been told the job would start in about two weeks following our closing on our new house, but in actuality, they didn't start for over six weeks. Even that start date only happened following multiple emails and phone calls made by us and our Realtor (who had made initial contact on our behalf as part of our home buying process). For some reason, I was told on more than one occasion that they were ordering supplies as a favor despite my not having paid the required deposit, when in fact I had paid the deposit several weeks prior; they had filed things under my maiden name (my only guess as to how they even got that name is b/c I still use an old email address??). The internal communication seems to be horribly lacking with them, as we always got different responses from different people we spoke to; they also freely said the main client contact was wrong in making promises on time frames and feasibility of jobs. When they finally came on site to begin installation, we were told we should have had different property line markings, despite specifically being told during the quote inspection that what we had was more than adequate, and that they were going to have to change where the fence would be installed. The completed job does look very good, so their quality of work seems great. Their communication and professionalism, however, were definitely less than ideal - something our Realtor even said he has never even remotely experienced with other contractors. Everyone was friendly, just seemingly very disorganized. My hope is that this was an isolated experience.

I'm pretty satisfied with it.  The price was good compared to everyone else.

The work was scheduled and performed at the agreed-upon time.  A single installer completed the entire job and did excellent work.  He met all of our expectations.  4x4 posts were aligned and secured in concrete, which was allowed to "cure" for 3 days before the fencing was added.  The 4-foot high fence was then installed and the gates were hand-built and installed from the included materials.  The installer told us that he preferred to work alone and did so except for part of one day; he worked steadily and efficiently throughout the days he was on site.  The only work we completed ourselves was to clear a significant number of small trees, plants, and ground cover along the proposed fence line as this area had been left in a "natural" state and was not landscaped.  We intended to do this preliminary work ourselves so that was not included in the 3 quotes we obtained before deciding upon Brennan's Fence.   We are pleased with the final results and would recommend this company to others.

EXCELLENT Job done by Brennan's Fence Installations. They traveled a good ways from Clayton NC area to Southern Granville County NC for my project. Service area seems extensive. Professional, personable, and extremely knowledgeable installers. The fence is perfect. Could consider it a work of art. Quality workmanship and materials. Brennan's uninstalled and re-installed some of my existing fence resulting in a substantial savings for us. Their prices are great no matter what you are having installed by them. I will be calling them soon to help us with a couple of decking projects. Will definitely let friends and neighbors know to call Brennan's for their next fencing project.

Brennan Fence did an outstanding job installing my fence. Very knowledgeable and great customer service when I contacted them a few months later to come out to check on my fence after a severe rain and wind storm to make sure the fence had not been damaged. James Glisson
