Splash Around Pools

Did not repair pump. Called several times and asked repairman to return and fix the faulty repair. Never called me back. Eventually had to call another pool company.

We had discussed problems with our filter, it was very old. Darin recommended changing out the sand and seeing what was going on, then if needed we would replace the filter. I waited almost 3 weeks for him to come back. When he did, he changed out the sand and said he repaired a lateral in the bottom. I asked him to also check the Polaris which now wasn't working because it was full of sand. The day after he left I discovered sand was coming out the returns, I had even more sand on the bottom of the pool, and the Polaris still wasn't working. I was in a bigger mess than before. I talked to a couple of pool services which told me that laterals in the particular filter I had, which was 20+ yrs. old, were not repairable!
Darin doesn't come when he says he will. I'm very patient with pool services as I understand how they can unavoidably get behind,  but a call or text is in order when they're not going to make it. I had to keep trying to contact him to see if he was still coming.  He did spend 2 hrs. changing out the sand on a horribly hot day, but he didn't fix the problem and left me in a mess. He said he would come back and put in a new filter, but I honestly didn't trust that he would do the job correctly, or just when that would be.
I called another pool service on the following Saturday, they were here first thing Monday morning, put in a new filter, vacuumed my pool and got the Polaris up and running.

We made an appointment for Darin to visit on Monday.  My wife stayed home all day waiting.  Toward the end of the day he called and said he copied the address wrong and couldn't find the house so he wasn't going to make it.  (He could have called.) Said he would make it on Tuesday.  OnTuesday there was no communication and no Darin.  We tried contacting him numerous times.  Eventually he called and said he had an emergency to attend to and wouldn't make it.  Finally on Wednesday he arrived.  He checked the water, added some chemicals, backwashed the filter but really didn't assess what was causing the problem we had been having.  He left his invoice for $120.00 in the mailbox.  The price was fair but not worth the aggravation.

I will not use them again in the future.
