They did an excellent job on challenging floors.  We were able to save floors that we thought were hopelessly stained by years of pet accidents from previous tenants.  He helped select a color that would blend in so that the stains were barely noticeable.

Results are beautiful. Service was prompt and took just the amount of time Wilson said it would. Refinishing is a dusty process but I thought the workers made reasonable efforts to minimize the mess in the rest of the house and to clean up after themselves daily.

I could not have had a better experience! Gilson Araujo was professional, prompt, courteous, and very clean. (Gilson is the son of Wilson, who started the business over 20 years ago.) Within one week of confirming my acceptance of my bid, Gilson and his team started the work. Since we installed unfinished floors, this was a five-day job requiring time for installation, sanding, and three coats of polyurethane. Each day, Gilson would call me to indicate who from his team was coming that day and what they were going to do. Communication was just fantastic. They were also extremely neat - they closed off the entry to my kitchen with plastic wrap to protect it as much as possible from the dust, they vacuumed, swept, and damp-mopped the floors (including my existing hardwood in the entry way, which became a bit dusty), and even cleaned up a few spots in the family room where the paint was slightly marked. They also moved my furniture both before and after the job at no additional charge. I am very pleased we decided to install unfinished floors - this will ensure little to no fading. Since the hardwoods in our entry way and dining room were the pre-finished variety and had faded somewhat, we knew we would not be able to match the color perfectly. So, we decided to go with a slightly darker color in our connecting family room (Golden Pecan) and install the wood at a diagonal to separate the rooms somewhat. It turned out just beautifully! One note of warning, though - polyurethane smells very bad and it's a good idea to be able to open your windows to let some fresh air in when having the work done. We happened to choose a week when the weather was in the 50s and rainy, so we couldn't leave our windows open all the time. Even though our house got a bit chilly, it was worth the end result. I highly recommend Wilson Hardwood and would use them again without hesitation!

It was great, they gave us an estimate and out of 4 companies they were the least expensive and got us worked in the following week. They removed all of the shoe molding, sanded the floors down and filled holes, replaced old boards that were damaged and brought the floors back to their former glory. They look amazing! They also finished one day earlier than we expected them to, which was great. The price they quoted was exactly what we paid.
