They could do better with their price.

Their stores are ridiculously busy, but the customer service that they have there is good. I was able to work my price down. They are good about getting back to me.

Cost has climbed from approximately $40 monthly to $82 for phone, text and VERY LIMITED data.

We have 2 year contract and the next one goes out next spring. I always get a phone that is essentially free. I don't get any bills. The quality of the reception stands out. We were with another company, and our house was in the middle of a dead zone, and we never have problems with Verizon. Verizon has international calling, and we don't use it that much, but when we travel internationally, we can turn it on for that period. They gave us a phone without any charge for us to use international calling.

Fine except the person helping us was distracted.

We like them because my calls don't drop. We've been using them for 5 years now. We like them for the phone part itself. I used to have dropped calls with Sprint. You don't want to pay for something you can't use.

The experience went well. I can do everything except purchase a phone at the Verizon store because it is in my husband's name, even though I could go online and order it. I had to pick the phone and then arrange that my husband go and pick it up. It was annoying that I couldn't walk out the door with my phone. I think they should set it up so that more than one person can purchase a phone if you choose to do that.

My experience has been excellent. The customer service has been very responsive. I think some of the extras are outrageously experience. I purchased a phone for my mother and the customer service agent helped me with everything that I needed. I was very happy.

Great! Monica at Verizon very quickly, but efficiently, showed us our choices of phones and plans. We just wanted a basic plan and basic phone. She suggested upgrades and optional features, but was not pushy about it, like some other companies have been. GREAT customer service!

We had used Verizon for cellular phone service as long as they had been in Charlotte - 10 years. We were pleased with the service and the rates but found that they couldn't cover the area to which my husband traveled for his new job. We worked with their technicians and reviewed their coverage maps to see what could be done. Finally Verizon told us that there was no remedy and we decided to switch companies. Another customer service rep tried to tell us that we would owe a $250 cancellation fee--ridiculous considering how long we'd been with the company. We finally got a supervisor to say they would waive it but they failed to follow through. They eventually turned us over to collections at which point we were able to escalate the problem high enough to get it resolved. Verizon did not keep their promises or provide good customer service. This prevents me from recommending them even though their cellular service had been good.

A week after I bought my new battery, my wife decided to replace hers also since she has the same phone. This battery from a different Verizon store cost $24.11, so I wondered why the same product would have a difference in price of $14. Verizon's website lists the standard battery at $24.99 and the extra-duty battery at $39.99. Apparently I was charged the price of the extra-duty battery but got only the standard battery. In the meantime the new battery was not holding a charge. Today, Sept. 22nd, I went to the same store where my wife had bought her new battery and asked for a replacement along with a refund of the $14 difference. I was told that they cannot do anything about it because the Verizon store where I bought the battery is not related to the other one. They are both selling Verizon products, so how can they get away with this? Apparently, Verizon is allowing defective and devious practices in their name and not attempting to do anything about it.

VERY RELIABLE HAVE NOT HAD "TO" MANY PROBLEMS YET. OVER ALL I ENJOY THE SERVICE. GOOD MONTHLY RATE.

PRO'S: SALE PRICE ON SMARTPHONE. GREAT FEATURES LIKE CAMERA, CALENDAR and CONTACTS SYNCH WITH OUTLOOK @ WORK. DON'T NEED TO CARRY A PALM PILOT AND A PHONE SINCE IT IS ALL IN ONE. POLITE REPS. CON'S: TREO RECEPTION NOT AS GOOD AS REGULAR CELL PHONE. RECEPTION IN SOUTH CHARLOTTE BAD - HAVE TO GO OUTSIDE HOUSE TO USE EITHER CELL PHONE. HAD 2 BILLS WITH $500+ INCORRECT CHARGES WHICH I DISPUTED. 2 MONTHS, MULTIPLE CALLS + HOURS ON PHONE TO RESOLVE.

I THINK THERE ARE LESS EXPENSIVE RATE PLANS WITH OTHER SERVICES. I WILL CONSIDER OTHER SERVICES WHEN MY CONTRACT EXPIRES.

I HAVE HAD VERIZON AS MY CARRIER FOR NEARLY TWO YEARS NOW. I PURCHASED WHAT I WAS TOLD WAS THE TOP OF THE LINE PHONE FROM ONE OF THEIR BRANCHES. IT WAS OF COURSE EXPENSIVE BUT I THOUGHT I WOULD PAY THE HIGH PRICE IF IT MEANT BETTER QUALITY. WELL I AM TWO YEARS INTO THE SERVICE AND I STILL HAVE CALL DROPPING ALL OF THE TIME. MY RECEPTION IS NOT CONSISTENT AT ALL. IN FAIRNESS TO VERIZON, THEY TELL ME THAT THE AREA I LIVE IN (CONCORD) IS NOTORIOUS FOR BAD CELLS. MY WIFE HAS A CHEAP $19.99 TELEPHONE AND SHE HAS NO PROBLEM WITH RECEPTION. TO MAKE IT WORSE, I HEAR MY FRIENDS TALKING ABOUT THEIR CALLING PLANS AND HOW MANY FREE MINUTES THEY GET FOR THE PRICE AND I JUST DO NOT SEE THAT FROM VERIZON. I HAVE HAD SEVERAL WIRELESS CARRIERS IN THE PAST AND I HAVE NEVER BEEN COMPLETELY SATISFIED WITH ANY OF THEM. HOWEVER, OUT OF THE ONES THAT I HAVE WORKED WITH, VERIZON WOULD NOT BE CLASSIFIED AS ONE OF THE BEST.

CHECKED ALL LOCAL COMPANIES AND THEY OFFERED THE MOST FOR THE LEAST AMOUNT OF MONEY

GOOD PHONE, HAVEN'T HAD ANY PROBLEMS, AVERAGE PRICES: $12.88-$14.88/MONTH PLUS CHARGE FOR CALLS, ALTHOUGH NO FREE MINUTES. (LAURA CUDDY)
