We are new to the area and so lucky to find Universal Stone. Their selection, pricing transparency, clear communication, great follow up, and beautiful install was super! We are very happy with the end result. We are still finishing our trim work, but you can see from the pics how great it looks, and the instal was fast and efficient, great team! They even cut the vanity top to cap the knee wall at the end of the bath! Perfect!

Job fairly well done. We purchased a marble with lines through it and wanted all lines to run the same way. When they installed, we had one section not running correctly and no more of that marble available. The backsplash was done well but they broke our hose connection to the spray nozzle and said nothing to us. Jackie was very helpful in showing the marble. We had to have them out three times to get the correct fit

Alexandra (Lexi) did an excellent job. She was very knowledgeable and helped me find ways to meet my budget. I could not have been more pleased with her professionalism, attention to detail and overall assistance. The installers arrived quickly and did an excellent job. They were AWESOME. I will be using this company again.

Ordered a countertop for a bathroom vanity and was quoted for 3 different sinks;.  They did not have the quartz that I wanted for all 3 so I bought just 1.  However, the quote that Lexi gave me did not include an additional $100 charge for cutting out a sink, yet when I bought the top she slipped in an additional charge that I didn't notice until after I reviewed my paperwork.  When I called her, she argued with me and then told me that she had a meeting so that she didn't need to talk to me anymore.   When I called the owner, he neglected to call me back.  I would never, ever use them again.  They cheated me.  I should have had the credit card company stop payment, but my $100 sink was caulked to the countertop.  They are cheats and have the worst customer service I've seen.

We purchased two remnants from Universal Stone during a warehouse sale on 5/3/14. The remnant we purchased for the countertop was 63 1/2" x 28.5". From this a bathroom vanity countertop was to be fabricated after a template was made. We asked that a 19" x 28.5" seat for our shower be made also from the same remnant if possible. In the even that it was not we purchased another seperate remnant.
A template was never made on site even after we asked them to do so multiple times in separate phone conversations. They said they received the dimensions from our builder, Jed Davis of Davis Custom Homes, and that was good enough. The resulting countertop is not square with our walls and is 36 1/2" by 24 3/4". There is a gap between one of our walls and the countertop. We also asked that a seat for our shower be made from the same remnant and they said there wasn't enough material (keep in mind the original dimensions of the remnant).
We have overpaid for the material by $110. An on-site template was never made , which is a $75 service they are supposed to provide, in addition they never installed the countertop or sink.
We would like them to fabricate a new countertop for us from the same material (new slab), after an on-site template has been made. If this cannot be done then we ask that a 4" backsplash be fabricated to hide the gap (this actually takes less material). They have said they are not going to do either.
I've placed several calls and emails to them. On my last call today (8/7/2014), they said they fulfilled the terms of the contract to us. They obviously have not. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and hope to get a satisfactory resolution to our complaint. I would not, however, recommend them to anyone. There are other fabricators with much better customer service. We are using someone else for our kitchen since our dealings with Universal Stone have proved to us that they cannot be trusted.

The most important thing I learned from the experience is that you have to physically be on site the entire time, and make sure all of the items - plumbing, electrical undo and re-install are taken care of.

I was happy up until the installers came to install the product.  I have a bar area right above my sink there are walls above there.  The installer decided to cut out pieces of the wall to install it and they cut out more than needed.  I know have a gap and cracked walls.  It did take them about one month to fix the damage.  When I originally ordered the granite there was a particular color I liked I specifically asked that these two pieces of countertop be made out of the second piece.  They were fine with that. When they actually brought the stone it was not the piece that I asked for.  It was actually cut out of the bigger piece they had.  When that happened I called and told them it was not complete.

Tile work, no show the first day, showed up late and with out wet-saw an essential tool. The second could not communicate in english, failed to follow any reasonable form of instruction and fine on third day. Granite excellent on both jobs. Will use again for granite, but not for tile.
