Lawn Care - Aerate a Lawn
THE WORST SERVICE OF ANY COMPANY I?VE EVER DEALT WITH. CONSTANT NO SHOW 3 TIMES. ONCE A? TECHNICIAN ? FAKE SPRAYED WEED CONTROL. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NO HELP WHAT SOEVER. DO YOURSELF A BIG FAVOR AND USE A DIFFERENT COMPANY. THEY HAVE THOUSANDS OF NEGATIVE REVIEWS. MY NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOR IS HAVING THE SAME ISSUES. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

True green I am at my wits end. I have called 4 times, spoken to 7 people and still nothing. It starts in April when a True green salesman came to the door. He stated that I could save some money and have better results than Weed man, my current provider. I was a little unhappy with my current lawn care due to the fact I had paid for aeration in February but in late April it had yet to be done. The salesman stated not to worry, “I will throw in the aeration for free if you pay for the next year today”. I paid and that was that, I thought. Here we are in October and still no aeration. The best part is when I ask True green says ‘We have no record of that”. Not to mention the last time they came out the technician told me he was only to spray the front half of the property. So the moral of the story is to stay with Weed Man because True green is great during the campaign season but when they get voted in they forget what they promised. They also change the rules of the game.

Paid in advance for 5 weed and feed treatments, which were supposed to be every four weeks throughout the summer. Received the first one nearly 7 weeks ago, and haven’t heard from them since. My lawn looks awful, worse than it did before they made the application. We’ve had plenty of rain here in Charlotte, so you know that’s not been the problem. I would strongly advise you stay far, far away from this company.

This is an awful service. Our lawn looks worse than it ever has. We have had to call numerous times for them to come back for service. The crabgrass has completely taken over, we never had this bad of weeds. Over the last 5 months I have asked over the phone on 3 different occasions for the Manager to call and then with the technician twice. Have never received a call back from the Manager. Also, when purchasing I told them i had concerns with the reviews I saw on here and a supervisor told me she would personally make sure we were happy and gave me her cell phone number in case of any issues. As soon as we paid her cell number she gave me goes straight to vm with no calls back.

**This was my review left on Google 2 weeks ago** The worst experience I've ever had with a company. I hired them to take care of my lawn and after the first treatment, I was unhappy. So I called and talked to a representative and canceled the service. I was told I would only have to pay the first bill. A month later I noticed a statement on my bank account that was a lot higher than was agreed upon. I called back and they told me it would be corrected. It wasn't. So I called my bank to open an investigation and they refunded my money. Then almost a year later I have received a past due bill in the mail for the terrible services rendered last year. I won't deal with crooks like this and you shouldn't either. Worst lawn care company. Then this is how the company responded **Edit 3/14/19 ** I just got a phone call from a TruGreen Representative who is trying to collect a $60 debt from my account. Which I stated above was falsely advertised to me. I explained to her that last year, I was told I would pay $29.95 + taxes. Then I canceled and was still willing to pay my original charge. Then I received another bill. After contacting the company they told me I would only have to pay the original charge of $29.95+tax. She completely ignored me and kept telling me that I owe a past due balance. Which I assume will now knock my credit. I can't believe a company that is unwilling to work with their clients. After talking to several of their employees, having my bank investigate and reverse the charge because they found that I was overcharged and this company is STILL trying to negatively affect my credit.

This company claimed a “guaranteed” 60% reduction in weeds after the first treatments. It is now nearly a full year and I have more weeds in my lawn than started. I also now have Bermuda growing all over the lawn and am told there is no solution. They aerated and over seeded my lawn in the 3rd week of August - IN CHARLOTTE, NC. If course this was a waste. They said they would redo it here in late October but have never showed. I also note that I prepaid for a number of”applications”. Never do this. These guys overseeded on one trip, limed another and fertilized in another. Completely ridiculous in my opinion. I recommend you look beyond this company for your lawn care. I am done with this company

To summarize, horrible quality. I contracted them years ago on their annual program to fertilize, treat weeds, etc for my lawn. Within a year the quality of my lawn was worsened that it was when I did the basic treatments myself. I ultimately fired them and went with Scott’s Lawn. Fast forward to earlier this war, unfortunately Scott’s was bought our by TruGreen so I was willing to give them a second chance, which was a big mistake. Within months, my yard was full of weeds and no matter how many times I called to retreat the weeds, they would only treat 5-10% of the visible weeds. The last straw was when they fertilized and applied weed killer to my home this week (last week of Sept) which is right when Fescue owners need to aerate and seed their lawns, yet I now have to wait 30 days since they applied weed killer on the yard which will kill any seeds from sprouting. That puts me almost into November, which is well beyond the ideal time to aerate and seed. This is common sense in their profession and I will no longer do business with them effective immediately.

When they first started the results looked promising for the first 4 or 5 treatment. In the Fall they came and did the aeration and seeding in October, I think it should have been done in late September. I had marked all the sprinkler heads and the guy just ran all over of them. I was lucky he didn’t break any. The result of the aeration and seeding were minimal at best. After a year and a half I had spent $1478.27 and had twice as many weeds and bare spots as when I started the service. I called to cancel and was not offered any refund or assistance in fixing the issue. Today I looked and there are many u-tube videos with complaints on services partly being done and or subpar work. I would not recommend using them.

I think it's better to have a company that come with the chemical that you don't have to keep in your house, in your garage. The smell is bad for your health. So the company came without the smell of that, so it's better for the people's health.

They should probably be less generic. I think they do the same for everybody. Grass is different everywhere. Sometimes they give the same answer to everybody, but people don't have the same problems. It was a good price.

It was great. I don't work with them anymore. I stopped the service, but it was great. I want to go more organic. On the schedule I had eight visits but I stopped them at six. Not because it wasn't good but because it was too chemical. They were honest. They were punctual. The price was okay. It was a good price.

Had a one year contract for fertilizer, weed control, etc. The chemical applications were alright, but the fall aeration/overseed was a total snafu. I told the guy who came out to aerate that the back yard was soft, new infill, but the ride-on aerator he used tore it completely up. He was more interested in doing it fast than correctly, apparently so he could get back to his phone. It looked like a plowed corn field. When I complained, his response was, "It'll even out." It took numerous calls to get someone out to get it corrected. Very impersonal customer service, will NEVER use again.

It's been great! They are very good. They do an excellent job. We'd been doing it ourselves and found something at home depot that destroyed our grass. We reached out to them and they took over from there! It looks very good.

The people who come out are professional. I didn't have any issue with the people that came out. They were misleading. They said we had a contract and it was for a year, which we started in March. Then they said, no it ended in December, it was for the calendar year. We prepaid for a whole bunch of treatments and they started charging more. One time, they had to charge us twice in a month because they came out a second time and that was in October. They came out the second time because they didn't do a good job the first time, so they charged us for two visits.  They hadn't put enough seed down when they seeded. They realized that so they came out and added more seed and charged us a second visit. We couldn't find our contract anywhere. We thought it was for a full year contract, we pay this amount and we were prepaid and get the treatment we need. I think it was just misleading. It wasn't the individual workers, they were just doing their job. They were on time when they said they would be here. They did what they were suppose to do, except for that one time where they didn't do enough. We couldn't get a straight answer so we finally just canceled.

Immediately after having lawn serviced in the late Spring (which roughly coincided with the merger with Scotts) lawn developed many bare patches and Mushrooms appeared. Co-worker who was also using TruGreen experienced the exact same issue. After 2 failed attempts to speak to or get a supervisor out to my property I cancelled all TruGreen services. Now may 6 or 7 months after my cancellation I received a phone call from TruGreen asking me to try their services once again now that their merger with Scotts is complete and issues have been ironed out. After explaining what occurred in the late Spring with no response from Mgmt in the Summer they still insisted that I try their services with no offer to remediate the damage done to my lawn...which is STILL in the process of recovering. Do NOT use TruGreen/Scotts Lawn services.

They worked my yard all year and it actually is the worst it's ever been ever, and I've told them that I've done it on my own before and it looks, my neighbors have are even talking how poor it looks. I'm way off at this point I actually need a new yard because the yard I have has a lot of Bermuda crab grass, everything under the sun it's just it's horrible it's just junk. Trugreen lawn service is not meeting quality workmanship at all.

I used for a year. I had issue with scheduling. Tried several times to get aeration completed to no avail but they did return my money. Also, be careful I signed up for a year of service and then they automatically re-sign you up for the next year. I had to call and cancel.
