Thee Chimney Bee

It went well. Jimmy called ahead that day and said he was running behind. He came alone, inspected and cleaned the chimney box and flue. He inspected the cap and showed me pictures indicating that the paint was peeling off the cap and rust spots were forming. Jimmy cleaned up after himself and left no trace that work had been done.

I have used Thee Chimney Sweep several times. He is always extremely professional, friendly and polite. He takes great care with his work and to clean up really well and the price is good. I would highly recommend this company.

He did a good, thorough job. He has been at this for quite a while. He was able to fit us in when others didn't have openings. We had a little back and forth on the scheduling, thus the B, but when it came down to it he came and did the job himself without his assistant. Didn't take credit cards at the time we had our chimney cleaned.

They gave us an estimate over the phone and it was accurate on what they charged. I would use them again in the future.

He was awesome, and he did a really good job. He was personable, and he takes his time.

We recently moved into our home, and we wanted to make sure our fireplace was clean and safe to use. Jimmie came in his top hat and coat tails and checked everything out. He cleaned the fireplace for us and took the time to show us how to use it and maintain it properly. He was very kind and patient. I would definitely use him again!

Mr. Bee was very pleasent and knowledgeable. I will probably use him for some of my other houses and various other projects as well. Nice guy!

Jimmie was very punctual and extremely courteous (and was wearing his signature top hat!). He and his assistant were very thorough in the cleaning process. They removed several dead bats (!) from our chimney, as well as a bird's nest. They definitely were methodical and very professional. The cap had to be custom made. Jimmie came by and installed the cap (which looks and works great) while we were away, so we were not inconvenienced by having to be there. We felt that we got a very good deal for the money- especially the cap, which he only charged us $95 for.

Jimmy definitely made an impression, as he arrived in a tuxedo with tails and a top hat. He has an incredibly calm and pleasant demeanor. He was very thorough and answered all of my questions. He obviously has had experience with old houses such as mine in which the damper was retrofitted and not part of original construction. He was at my house for over an hour. He had quoted me a price over the phone and honored the lower price although he clearly had to do more work than he expected.

Great company. Mr. McBee preformed a through inspection of my chimney. Since this is a foreclosure home, I had no idea what shape it was in. He found the flu was out of place and needed a new lever in order of open and close it. The quote to have it fixed was very reasonable. When I asked about the chimney top, he said it will also need to be replaced, but not for another couple of years. I consider this to be a very honest and reasonable company that I will definitely do business with again.

When I called to get the estimate, Jimmy returned my call promptly. He gave me a good description of the services and the estimated cost. The day of the appointment, Jimmy and his employee, Tim, arrived, set-up drop clothes and a covering to the fireplace, and got to work. Jimmy did most of the work on the outside of the chimney,and Tim did most of the inside cleaning. They were very pleasant and courteous. Our chimney cap did not fit properly, which is why we had a dead squirrel in our chimney, so Jimmy talked to us about coming back to put on a properly fitting cap. He also recommended that we get a "CrownCoat" on our chimney crown. He gave that estimate and left it to us to determine if we would like his services for those 2 items. (See later report). The estimate he gave us on the phone was our final bill. Overall we were extremely pleased with his work and his professionalism.

Earlier, Jimmy had done an inspection and sweep for us. At that time we realized that our old cap was too big, which allowed a large squirrel to get in our chimney (he died and we were left with an awful odor). Jimmy left us with the necessary information and an estimate as to how much a new cap and "Crown Coat" would cost. He returned at our appointed time. He quickly got to work (while my 5 year old and 2 year old looked on in awe). He listened to my 5 yr. old's many questions and answered them kindly and patiently. He did a wonderful job!

Wonderful. Jimmie is so warm and easy to work with. He spent hours cleaning the chimney and even refitting the flue. A week later he came back and put the cap on the chimney top. I can't say enough good about him. Super nice guy and when he showed up in his signature hat, it just melted my heart. That's the sign of someone who is proud of his company and the impression he makes.

He was able to get out to do the estimate quickly and finished all work on time for a very reasonable price.

Jimmie did a very good job. He was neat and efficient. He was flexible with his scheduling and accommodated me on a Saturday with a couple days notice.

Good experience, Jimmy is great to work with. Not as responsive as he could be, order for parts was delayed and he was unable do the work as quickly as originally thought, but the work was great and he was great to deal with.

Great job. Was a little late showing up because of a prior appt. running long, but called and told me the time he would be there. Did a great job with the cleaning and is looking into doing some additional work to put on a chimney cap. Very professional. Would definitely recommend.

HE NEVER CAME BACK OR CALLED. WHEN I CALLED HIM, STILL I RECEIVED NO RESPONSE. HE WAS A NICE GUY, BUT UNRELIABLE.

JIMMY IS VERY PERSONABLE, POLITE, AND PROFESSIONAL. HE CLEANED OUT THE CHIMNEY WITHOUT MESS COMING INTO THE ROOM. SINCE I WAS NEW TO THE HOUSE, HE GAVE ME INSTRUCTIONS ON WORKING THE FLUE TO GET MAXIMUM HEAT. HE ARRIVED WEARING THE TOP HOT, WHICH IS CHARMING. WE HAD AN APPOINTMENT FOR 9:00 AM, HE CALLED TO SAY HE WAS RUNNING LATE AND SHOULD ARRIVE AT 9:15AM, 9:20AM. HE ARRIVED AT 9:45AM. ALTHOUGH HE WAS LATE, AT LEAST HE CALLED US ABOUT BEING A LITTLE LATE. WHEN HE WAS LEAVING, HE SAID HE WOULD CALL US IN THE SPRING, WHICH I LIKED.
