After reading the positive reviews about The Thistle on Angie's List, I called and left a message for Caroline Gray to see if she might be able to recommend someone in CT. She returned my call later that day, and although she was in the midst of returning several calls, she took the time to answer all my questions and help me make sense of what her profession offers/what some of my options might be. She seems a woman of intelligence, gentility, and patience, and I have no doubt that, in the event I should need the services of someone in her profession, I would call on her.
Description of Work: Had a phone conversation while looking for information/referral for my mother in another state.

 + -1 moreThe appraiser was very knowledgeable regarding the history of the antiques that we asked her to appraise. She also provided tips on caring for and cleaning the furniture. She thoroughly explained the difference between the value of an appraisal for FMV purposes and insurance claim purposes and gave us figures for both. She also told us some interesting stories about the history of many of the pieces.
Description of Work: The Thistle appraised select antiques and jewelry in our home.
