The Maids of Charlotte

Wonderfully. I have been using The Maids for several years now and am very pleased with the work they do. The team comes in my house while I am at work, cleans my den/kitchen/dining room/living room/bathrooms, and I come home to a fresh and sparkling house. Ann King has been prompt and gracious to rearrange cleaning dates for me any time I've had to be out of town. I tried other cleaning companies and individual house-cleaners prior to finding The Maids, but was never satisfied with the work they did. But I am extremely satisfied with The Maid of Charlotte and highly recommend them.

Fantastic! I called on Monday, and by Tuesday at noon I had a team of four fantastic folks at my door ready to stat cleaning! We've had three guys and a 110lb dog living in this house together for 2 years, so you can imagine how challenging this project was! The team was extremely friendly, the lead person was very knowledgeable, and the results were outstanding. I'm extremely happy with The Maids of Charlotte, and highly recommend them!

It makes me very happy to see that yellow car pull into my driveway when the Maids come. They bring four maids and they divide and conquer one of them usually takes the bathrooms, the other does the floors, another does the kitchen and another usually does all the dusting and furniture cleaning. I work from home so I love that they are able to get in and get done so quickly. Usually in and out in an hour. Last time I requested them to wet wipe all my baseboards so it took them a little longer but not much. They usually dust them but I had not had them come in a while. I don't have any children so my house does not get too awful dirty so I do the light cleanings in between and call the Maids periodically to come in for an overall cleaning. Ann and John King do an excellent job running this business. They select very professional and courteous people. I have used them for years now and have always had a very pleasant experience. They understand how to properly clean everything in your home and the appropriate cleaning products to use on your appliances, hardwood floors, tile, granite, etc. They provide excellent follow-up and I really appreciate their consistency.

They brought 4 people to share the cleaning. One worked in the kitchen cleaning counters, floors, cabinet and appliance outsides, stove top, microwave inside and out -- did a wonderful job. Two worked in the master bath and guest bath and cleaned everything. When they were done, a small section of one tile floor that I had thought was showing wear was instead shining like new. My large family room and the master bedroom and study also were done. They did everything I expected, plus more including vacuuming down the hall to the master bedroom, and from other rooms into the dining room. I have used the Maids before and have always been pleased with how much they do, and how thoroughly they clean. I have arthritis and can't get down to scrub floors and baseboards, and they always do a great job there. The whole crew is very nice. I have asked them to come back in September.

I was very happy at both homes. Extra effort beyond the quoted job description was obvious at each home. While we had a wee mis-hap at the house I was leaving, the Kings went into overdrive to get the problem taken care of in the hours before closing the sale. They were caring and concerned about my happiness and satisfaction, and I certainly would request their services in the future.

I would rate them high overall. They do anything you ask them to do. They clean my oven, appliance and they just do a really good job. If ever I wasn’t satisfied then they sent out the team back to do it over again. It’s owned by a couple and they are wonderful to work with. They are easy to work with like if I had to reschedule then they do that. If I had to do that because I had to take kids from school or if I have to reschedule if my family was coming to town, so they are great about that. They are prompt. Usually they sent out five members out and I have a 3200sqft house and so it takes about an hour to clean. Every other week they charge $140. Their price is great because of what I ask them to do. The quality of work is great like if ever something is hasn’t been right and that has happened only twice when they had a new crew member or something and they came right back out. They are usually early and never late. Even the team members who come out to work are great and they can describe what kind of a process they use and cleaning solutions. They are very professional. They always call a day before to confirm what time the crew is going to show up. I have referred them to couple of my neighbor’s and they are using them as well.

The Maids Home Services has been cleaning my house for years. John and Anne King are the owner/operators and are a pleasure to work with. They always calls before their visits and are arrive when they promise. Any of the minor issues I've had are dealt with quickly, professionally, and to my satisfaction. I recommend them strongly!

I have used this company 3 times since we moved into our home, and they now come every 2 weeks. The initial clean lasted approximately 6 hours with 4 workers. I don't follow them around, but I did notice one person manually (with gloves on, thankfully), hand-cleaning one of the toilets (on the inside!). I had used one of their franchises previously when I lived in another state, and hadn't been very happy with that one. My husband initially wasn't enthused I had hired the same chain again, but they have won him over. They do a great job - perfect, no, but ten times better than I could ever do. What they do in 2 hours would take me 2 days to do on my own. They are always on-time. The 2nd clean they forgot to clean my laundry room. I called the company & they offered to come back the next day which wasn't necessary. The next clean, the owner came half-way through the clean to spot-check how they were doing. Like all companies, they are only as good as their employees. Some do a fantastic job, and others are just ok. Overall though, I am very happy.

Some examples of the poor cleaning done by this company include not dusting shelving units in the master bathroom, guest bathroom faucet top cleaned but not the under side, side of tub still grimy and dusty, dining room floor under table appears that chairs weren't moved, kitchen floor had stains which were there prior to this service which needed some more scrubbing, kitchen cabinets still dirty after cleaning. I did contact the company to express my disappointment and he half heartedly apologized and offered to send the same crew back to clean again, but why would I want the same poor work performed again? I would absolutely advise against using this company in the future.

They are always very responsive and accommodate any special request. They will call me the night before to remind me they are coming the next day. They are pro active about calling me if changes need to be made to my scheduled appointment. They don't allow tipping except at Christmas.
