The guys did an outstanding job installing the radiant barrier and additional insulation in our attic space. They showed up early each day, laid down protective barrier on our floors and took care not to damage anything. Standard Insulating helped us with our above the garage bonus room. This room was always extremely hot in the summer. The radiant barrier in our attic space has made a significant improvement along with the added attic zipper cover for our attic stair opening. Mark was very thorough and answered all of my questions. I contacted three of the companies to obtain a quote for the vapor barrier replacement. After meeting and speaking with representatives of the three companies, I decided on using Standard Insulating to do the job. This decision was based on the thorough inspection and review that their salesperson, Marc Conklin, provided. Marc also exhibited a great deal of patience and responsiveness to the the questions that I asked. He took pictures of the crawl space and explained what would be done. He also provided a reasonable and competitive price to do the work. Once I agreed to their proposal and price, we scheduled a date for the installation. On June 2, the installer, Mason, came out with an assistant to do the work. Mason and his assistant were on time and very professional. They completed the work within two hours, and I was totally pleased. Mason took photos of the completed work and text them to me. I also went into the crawl space to see the completed work. From the beginning of the inspection process by Marc, to the final install by Mason and his assistant, I have been pleased with the work of the Standard Insulating Company. In fact, I am considering asking them to provide a proposal to replace some of the attic insulation.

Marc Conklin was very prompt and called me 30 minutes before arriving at my house just like I asked him to do. Took a look at my house insulation and told me within minutes of what needed to be done to give us the best insulating R factor in our attic. Quote was done professionally and quickly. I received quotes from 3 companies and this was by far the cheapest. They use Owens Corning which boosted my confidence and the have a partnership with Duke Energy. The installers were professional and respectful of my property. I am very pleased.

The guys showed up on time and ready to work. I thought it was going to take a lot longer than it did, but was really less than 2 hours. They laid plastic up to the attic entrance and went right to work. Could feel a difference in the house that same day. Not the cheapest, but on this I think you get what you pay for. They even made sure I was happy with everything before they left.

Everything went well. The job was done professionally. They added an attic stairway insulation cover too. My only complaint was they took down old insulation on a walk through door. They didn't take it to the edge and staples were sticking out all over. I plan on fixing it. There are pictures below of the job they did and the door issue.

sales team was extremely courteous and professional - recommended a lower cost fix for our crawl space insulation. Price came in mid-range of all quotes we received. There was a bit of a lack of communication between the sales team and installation team regarding how much attic space we were going to leave without insulation for storage - luckily, I kept the original schematic that the sales team created with the space that would be left for storage.
