SMITH'S CUSTOM CABINETS & REMODELING

Mr. Smith arrived with his son and install the cabinets in the time frame as was promised in the contract. They performed the clean up and touch up as needed. Mr. Smith was nice enough to work on some minor addition (reinstalling and repainting my based board) that was not detailed in our contract. Overall, I was very pleased with the work.

He did a really bad job re-facing my kitchen cabinets. Some of the doors have cracks on them and refused to fix. He used screws that were too long for the drawers and did not even want to shorten them. Overall, it looks worse than it did before and I need to find someone else to do the job again. Don't waste your money.

Steve Smith does excellent work. The work he did for us displayed excellent quality and craftsmanship. Steve did the work for us on time, and on budget. He was professional and courteous at all times. We were also having our counter tops replaced and Steve spoke directly to the counter top company to explain to them what they would need to do to ensure the counter top measurements were correct to match the new cabinet for the refrigerator. We will use him again within the next year or so to do some bathroom cabinet work. I highly recommend Steve Smith if you have cabinet work that needs to be done right.

It was great! He told us he doesn't do too much design, but if we could explain what we wanted, he could build it. He certainly followed through. We told him what we wanted, including glass shelves about 36" long. Smith was concerned with glass shelving that long, because there was a possibility that the middle of the shelf could end up sagging, which would cause it to break. Although we were willing to change our design a bit, Smith did the research, and ended up telling us that he could do it the way we originally designed it! He was very true to his word regarding the start and finish date. It's been two years, and that build in still looks brand new, including the glass shelves.

Steve was very prompt and courteous. He did a wonderful job and I would most definitely use him again.

I had taken quotes from multiple companies but in the end chose Steve's custom cabinet due to references. His workmanship, attention to detail is excellent. He was very competetative in terms of pricing and did the job as promised. Quickly, efficiently and with high quality.

The table is wonderful! Exactly what I wanted, beautifully made and so much better than anything I could have bought off-the-shelf, so to speak. I look forward to using Steve again in the future, and I highly recommend his services to anyone seeking top quality custom made furniture.

Steve Smith is extremely easy to deal with, easy to reach, and returns calls promptly. He is punctual and courteous. Many people told me that if I tried to add crown molding to my old oak cabinets "it would never match" Well, Steve Smith proved them wrong. He custom made the crown mold with oak and custom matched the stain perfectly. The finished product looks as if it has always been there with the original cabinets. Steve is a master in his field. A little more than I wanted to spend but to get a perfect match is more than I expected so it was worth it. Furthermore, I had already learned that molding itself is expensive no matter where I searched. I wouldn't hesitate to hire him again for any woodworking I might need.

He is great. He fixed a cabinet and a door. He made the door swing out. He fixed it differently. He was really fast and he did a great job. He was really friend and very nice. He was a little expensive, but it was worth for the work he did. I will use him again in the future.

Steve returned my call promptly and gave us a quote on the job right away. His quote was competitive, and he assured us he could finish the job within the next couple of weeks. He did a fantastic job -- we were really pleased with the results! Plus when he encountered difficulty getting the armoire up the stairs to the bedroom, he and his brother lifted the entire thing over the side of the house up onto the 2nd floor and carried it in through an upstairs door instead.

Steve Smith was excellent and my cabinets are beautiful. Their prices are good and their quality is excellent. They are on time and very professional.

Steve did a great job. He made and installed cabinets above our washer/dryer. Also, he made a built in cabinet/coat rack with cubbies and a bench for the mud room space. He made the cabinets from a picture we gave him and it looks exactly like we wanted. He came out quickly to give an estimate and completed the work faster than we expected. After several months, we decided that the cabinets above the washer/dryer were too high, and he came back the next day to lower them for a nominal price. Overall a great experience. We would definitely use him again.

Extremely Well! Steve is punctual for every appointment he makes and does excellent work. He custom designed cabinets following sewage damage in a downstairs rec room and vanity to our specifications and design ideas. The countertop was stained butcher block and fits perfectly in spite of the fact that the corner is obviously not square. His work significantly improved the look and feel of this room - essentially changing a "kids" room into a room that matches the quality and feel of the rest of the house. We would recommend him without reservation and hope to use him when we are able to afford re-working cabinets in the more formal areas of our house.

Steve is a man of few words but he is an amazing cabinet maker. He could not have built a better-fitting cabinet if he had done it on site. It is exactly what I wanted. The quality is amazing. He suggested amendments to my original design that improved the functionality. I will definitely hire him again, and will probably have him build a desk for me in a few months. I recommend his work without reservation.

I was very pleased with Mr. Smith's work. The quality of superior and he finished the project well within the the specified time period. He was also friendly and courteous. I highly recommend him.

He came out promptly, measured and gave a quote. He returned after a few days to install the shelves we needed. They were very professionally done. He wanted to make sure we were satisfied, even installed a new grommet on site where we needed one. Also adjusted old shelf holders to make them easier to use.

Sorry for the extreme delay in submitting this report. Steve was unbelievable. The project started back in Sept. '08 when he came out to our newly purchased home to take measurements. A week or so later, we met back at the house to review his plan and pricing. It was then that I asked to increase the hole for the TV to accommodate a 60". Throughout the entire process, he was very professional and extremely customer service oriented. It took him a few days to install the unit into the home b/c of its size. The stain he helped us select matches our furniture, we purchased a sink and knobs separately and he installed them both. My wife and I couldn't be happier with the finished product and we receive many compliments from friends and family once they see his finished work.

He did a great job. I thought the price was high, but I didn't have that much to compare it to. We were happy with the finished job. He cleaned up his mess. He actually drilled holes in the wrong spot, but he fixed it so well we couldn't find where the holes were.

He did a beautiful job. He carved it from scratch. He stained it exactly right. The other work I saw was fantastic. He recreated everything to match the other doors. He was one time and did what he said he would.

They did an excellent job. They were done in one day. It was a small job, so it was a very quick turnaround. I am happy with how it looks and the cabinet still functions properly.

Steve did an excellent job. Not only was he a joy to work with, he is an excellent craftsman. We have unusual, custom wormy maple cabinets in our kitchen and Steve was able to identically match the finish so that the modifications looked as if they have been there since the beginning. I was extremely pleased with the work Steve performed.

Of the 4 cabinetmakers who came to the house to take a look at the project, Steve was the only one who said with certainty that he could match the finish on the new cabinets to that on our 15+ year old cabinets. This was very important to us! We really liked his can-do attitude because we had been told by everyone else that it would be practically impossible to match the finish. In the course of the project, he came to our house several times to remeasure and help us figure out how best to use the space on the wall, which required an unusual angled configuration. He custom made all the built-ins, like pull-out drawers in the base cabinets. The actual installation went very smoothly and he left everything tidy. We have a full new wall of cabinets and visitors can't tell that it's a new installation.
