We had a soot problem in our house from the fire logs. We had Servpro to come out for the cleaning on 1-23. Before the crew came out we took down everything on the walls including the curtains and rods. The crew came and cleaned for 6 hrs. When we came home and inspected the house they had not done what they were suppose to do. We called their supervisor to come out to the house that same evening. He was very upset with the work they had not done. They had not cleaned ceiling fans, light fixture, windows, sliding glass doors, blinds or other areas they were supposed to have cleaned. My husband and I cleaned for days after that. Their supervisor came and got the blinds on Monday and took them to clean. Their fee was $3977.96. They were asked not to include the closets in the price because they were fine but they did anyway. They didn't clean the closets so they deducted that from the cost which made it $3587.89.
On Feb. 6th the painting crew came out. They did an excellent job. The original contract price was $6177.46 minus $500 deductible which made the cost $5677.46. When the painting was finished the cost went up to $7505.18 minus $500 deductible minus $655 for the closets that we had requested they not do but billed us for it anyway. When I questioned the secretary about the jump in price she said she had made a mistake and over looked the cost of overhead and profit. This ordeal with Servpro has been less than professional. We were already stressed because our house was in a mess because of the soot and then we had to deal with this!
When I called ServPro, Ken was wonderful. He told me if he couldnt get one of his guys scheduled to come that afternoon, he would stop on his way home and do it himself. Sure enough, later that afternoon, Ken showed up to do the job.
The next morning Ken even called to check how well the tarp held up during the overnight rain and if I needed anything else.
