Sears Appliance Repair

The technician calibrated it for us and explained that we should always use the convection feature to ensure even heating. He took the time to explain the proper use to us and gave us a few tips. Overall, we were very pleased with his service and professionalism. We will definitely call them next time we need service.

Arrived on time, appearance neat and professional.  Listened to machine spin but did nothing else.  Said "these machines have a really bad failure rate of the axles-they were made out of bad material" and printed off a repair estimate of over $ 1,000 to repair the machine.  He said the chinking noise was the axle rubbing.  He suggested we buy a new washer; this one would fail catastrophically within 2 years or even sooner.   We asked him about why the softener was not dispensing and he said just cut it 50% with water and it would be fine.  He never worked on the machine in any way and charged us $ 89 for the service call.  I later re-read the owners manual and ran the "clean" cycle twice...out comes a house key on a key ring, a ball point pen, a quarter, and a candy bar wrapper....and the chinking noise has stopped entirely.  We got totally ripped off.....

A very frustrating experience. Repairman called 45 mins in advance but did not leave a voice mail message when I missed the call. He called again when he got to my condo. Told him I was 3 miles away and would be there in 10 mins. He said his route is timed and he couldn't stay. Told him I was in my car and could get there in just a few mins. He said he'd wait. I got there in 7 mins. No sign of the guy. Called him. No answer. Left message. Repeated that again 10 mins later. Nothing. Really angered me that my job was that insignificant to him (or Sears). They were going to charge a minimum $149 for the repair.

Repair of refrigerator started in August. 12 repair visits later . Some were no shows...others were continued diagnois and part replacements - trial and error . They seemed to be guessing at what the trouble was with each visit a different service repairman who did not know what the previous repairman did or why the particular parts were ordered. Additional damage by the repairman to my refrigerator door and my floor. My icemaker was repaired by replacing "mother board". Icemaker stopped working 4 months later. ANOTHER service call to be told that the replacement part was bad and I would need to buy another $400. part and pay labor to install (approx $600.) Company only warranties parts and labor for 90 days.

Excellent job.

They check and said it was working OK and left...I called another service co. and the tech immediately located the problem...system was low on freon..he charged unit to proper specs and everything has worked properly since..

They did fix couple of things and they were done right like where the cold water came out. They had to order a part and they came back promptly. They did a good job and it was a positive experience. Their price was very reasonable too.

They were on time and polite. They are coming back again. They are terrific.

They did air duct cleaning when another company said it couldn’t be done. They were able to figure out a way to do it. They were very professional. They took time to explain particular problems I had and also install some ultraviolet system. They charged $199 for the dryer. Their price was okay and I also had the air vents were done. They had the most reasonable air duct cleaning that I have been able to find. I called many places and they were couple of hundred dollars more than them.
