I would highly recommend Scott and his team to anyone looking to refinish their floors! They were reasonably priced and communicated extremely well. We constantly felt in the loop and had outstanding service. Our floors look absolutely incredible, just the way we had imagined! The job was completed in a timely fashion, and Scott's team was flexible when we asked for additional services! They accommodated us quickly and completed the job as asked. We will definitely use Scott for our projects moving forward!

It went great! Scott and his team were able to remove the damaged marks in the floor. They had to do all our wood floors on our first floor, since the rooms were continuous. His team moved all our first floor furniture into our sunroom and then when the job was completed moved it all back. No easy job and no damage to the new refinished floor. The sanding job was done with minimal sand dust and then three coats of Poly were applied over four days. Had four bids and Scott's was the lowest and we felt best. We are very pleased with the job that Scott and team did and would recommend them to anyone! Faith & John

Excellent service. Scott's crew is very professional, they walked me through every step of the process. I didn't realize I had 2 different kinds of hardwood and his crew was able to mix 2 stains that made the entire floor look the same color. I had several quotes and Scott's Sanding was the best quote. Scott & his team moved the furniture, showed us exactly what the refinished floors would look like and then handled the job exactly as promised while we were out of town. We came home to 20 year old floors that looked brand new.

I got many quotes about 10.  I was having trouble finding a person to do the job in two parts without charging a huge extra charge.  I needed to move all my furnature out to have the project done. so I really  wanted to do the upstairs in one job and the main in a second job.  Not only did Scott agree to the doing the project in phases, but he was also one of the best bids, not charging extras for moving the fridge,dishwasher  etc. 

 I was very indecisive of the color I wanted to stain,  he had his guys sand down a section of the floor, and put several different stains so I could see what it looked like.  So glad that was done, because the stain I had picked from a brochure was awful.  I really didn't like any of the colors I had picked.  I explained my thoughts, and one of the guys suggested a color and put it on the floor....That was the one....instant happiness.  My house is old, and once I got new looking hardwoods, some of the oldness really popped out, they gave me ideas on how to help it blend.  For example, the back of stairs looked really bad next to the newly done step...they suggested after painting the back I put a line of white caulking to make a fine line to cover up the space of the two coming together and hiding some of the imperfection.

I also do animal rescue and have several kitties that I needed to make sure where in their proper places prior to certain work being done.  They were great about blocking off rooms, and being conscience of who needed to be where, and not opening doors, or closing doors before they left to keep kitties out.  They even gave me heads up when I was running out of time.  For example, I got a yell " we are about 10 minutes from you not being able to walk on the floor, are all the kitties where they need to be"  I even think they fixed my screen door, which was off kilter and slammed hard and loud.

I really feel these guys did a lot of extra and by hiring them you are supporting local, good hard working guys.  This is the true mom and pop business.  And they are very good at their craft.  I will definitely hire them again if I have the need.  Please contact me if you would like to view their work, or have questions about this company.

Scotts team are great guys they talk you through each step of the process and work directly for Scott.  They did an excellent job and even covered a day for my wife and I in a hotel when the job went a little longer than planned.  Scott gave us the choice to leave the toe molding in place to save money but in retropect I would have taken the molding up and paid the extra cost.  Scott's team did not refinish the railing for my stairs but I would certainly us them again for any flooring work.

Project went exactly as planned - job was started and completed as discussed.  Finished floor looks excellent.  Very happy with finished project.  I was concerned about refinishing an engineered hardwood floor - several other contractors said that it couldn't be done.  Scott and team knew what they were doing and the finished product shows it.

I highly recommend Scott's Sanding Service! We recently had a large hardwood floor refinishing project completed and Scott Kivett and his crew did a beautiful job! We had three large rooms and two large hallways refinished along with our staircase. The entire area had to be sanded down to bare wood and then restained with all new mouldings and three coats of polyurethane were applied. The staircase and railings were sanded, stained, and finished with polyurethane. The results were stunning! My house looks brand new again! Scott has many years of experience and he has a fully trained and competent crew. He arrived to start the project on the date and time that was scheduled and showed up each and every day on time. Scott takes great pride in his work and is a true craftsman. He keeps his word and is very honest. Scott showed up with 3 other guys. I was impressed that he was able to employ some help in a less-than-perfect economy. They were all personable and spoke English. They worked fast and got the job done in under 2 hours.

I hired Scott and his crew to finish a new hardwood floor that I had installed in my kitchen and refinish the floor in the adjacent room.  I had talked to several refinishing companies but all were pushing my job further out in favor of larger projects.  I called Scott and told him the situation and the timeline I was working under.  He gave me a quote on the phone.   He and his two other guys showed up on day one on time a immediately put plastic up to contain the dust.   Truth be told there was not as much dust as I was expecting.  The next two days Scott showed up on time.  He did a great job matching the color to the other parts of the house.  He even repaired a small scratch that I had in another room and stained shoe moulding for me.  Overall the floors look great and I would highly recommend his service!

It was a wonderful experience. They showed up early and stayed late. They did everything we ever asked them to do. They highly exceeded our expectations. The floors look fantastic. The entire crew was so friendly and concerned about every detail.

I have being using them for years, and they have done a great job.  They are very expedient.  

DESPITE SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS, THE COMPANY PERFORMED THE WORK INCORRECTLY AND HAD TO REDO A PORTION OF THE JOB TWICE. THE FLOOR NOW (ABOUT 1 YEAR LATER) HAS LARGE CRACKS IN SEVERAL BOARDS AND ALL THE BOARDS WARPED SLIGHTLY CREATING A RIPPLE LOOK ACROSS THE FLOOR. NICE FOLKS, BUT I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY BECAUSE OF THE POOR QUALITY OF THE WORK.
