They were fantastic. I was able to get a model that resembles a box versus the bulky-looking radon fans most homes have. They were also able to install it in a location that hides it very well. I'm very pleased with the installation and their service.

I'd already gotten my test results of radon gas being at 7.8 in my house, so Affordable Environmental Services was one of the companies I called about getting an estimate. The owner came out that afternoon and was on time, was very courteous and professional. I was immediately impressed with the time he spent to examine everything carefully, taking notes. I had a lot of questions and he answered all of them--he was very knowledgeable. He sketched out how he would design the system, which I liked. Within a few hours of his visit, he emailed me a proposal and called to see if I had any questions. His price was in line with the other estimates I got and I decided to go with AES because I could tell by how thoroughly he examined and explained everything that he'd do a good job, and he did. He showed up on time and worked very hard installing the system. He did an outstanding job, cleaned everything up thoroughly and I couldn't have asked for more. The system brought the radon level down to 1.1 which is lower than we thought. I recommend this company highly for their promptness, professionalism and good work.

The project did not take place with Mr. Rea, but only because we are trying another solution, which will solve more than just the radon problem.
Description of Work: I did a radon test in my daylight basement and the results shows we were below the level that is necessary for good health, but not as low as it could be. I went to the NC State web site that was listed on my report and picked Mr. Rea. He came out, was on time, and very knowledgeable about our problem. He gave us several options. A couple of days later Mr. Rea called us and said he had researched our problem and he felt the solution we had discussed would not totally solve our problems. I appreciated his honesty even if it meant we needed to find another way to close up our crawl space and seal the walls. I have since called Remedics Restoration Carolinas LLC, from your list, and at this moment, we have worked out a plan to spray the crawl spaces and to make sure there are not other leaks. After Ms Kehler is finished I will give you a report. I have recommended Mr. Rea, based on his honesty and that he could have put in the fans and left with money in his pocket, or recommended we do the more costly radon pipe, but did not.
