doing most of pipe runs one night finishing around 11pm. His team were
friends/assistants and not plumbers.
Started smelling a sewer smell and complained to Ken. He would not answer phone
but replied via text that it was probably coming from pipe in area he did not
finish near washing machine. After another week smell got worse and complained
multiple times and would only get answers via text that is probably a vent
issue. He would not address the issue. After many failed attempts, went under
house to see what issue is. To my horror I found that sewage had been pouring
out of one of the pipes he installed into the crawl space for probably a few
weeks. His group failed to install the
clean out plug on one of their pipes and toilet waste was pouring out of it.
Called and texted 6-7 times and finally got response that was shockingly
unprofessional and he started finger pointing and would not address issue. He
insisted that he installed the plug and it blew off. Hired RR Plumbing (RR) who
along with myself, looked for this plug which was never found. RR stated that
it is inconceivable that a properly installed plug would be blown off with a
septic system. Plug is rated for 100PSI +. RR stated that the only way this
could happen if the plumber doing install just hand tightened plug without any plumbing
tape. Either way no plug was found. We also had a backup in main line that made
the matter worse. The cause of backup was stated, by RR ? A wad of contract towels typically
used by plumbers was stuck in pipe?. It
was probably stuffed in the open hole and then sucked in when the pipe started
being used. Either way, if pipe had been capped there would not have been raw
sewage pouring under house. Ken absolutely refused to help or address an issue
his team created. To make matters worse, RR took me underneath house and showed
me that the entire pipe in question was not properly installed. In the brief
look he had, the combo was backwards and the pipe did not have the right flow,
flowing away from the sewer and toward new section of house. RR stated that he
would be very concerned that there might be many more issues and advised
calling the city for failing to identify issues. RR stated that there were many
problems and would be concerned about water draining issues moving forward.
