I think they do a fantastic job, my only complaint is the price. Haircut (wash and cut) is about $65 and $140 to for the color touchup. I am not someone who will not pay for good service, but I can honestly say I have never spent this much on color or a cut in my life. The shop is extremely clean and they are very efficient, both of which are very important to me.
I will go back, I just wish it was not so expensive!

I have been a client at Planet 21 Salon for 7 years, since I moved to Charlotte. I have worked with several different hair cutters and colorists (different stylists cut and color hair at this salon), and all have been fabulous. I have fine hair that is prematurely greying, and each stylist I have worked with has done a great job with my hair. I can trust my stylists (most recently Katie for color and Char for hair cutting) to give me good advice about what would work best in my hair. I am moving out of state and am so disappointed to have to leave this salon. They also use top notch products.

They are professional.

It was excellent. They're very professional. My normal hairstylist was ill that day. They called me in advance, told me if they can schedule me with one of their other stylists who did similar kinds of work. They got me in within an hour and got a great haircut. The stylist that they assigned me to was a more senior stylist and had a higher rate. They did not charge me the higher rate, they charged me the rate for my normal stylist. There's a lot of competitors out there with lower price. I've been using them for about a year. The quality stands out the most.

The consultation was with the owner herself. She was very sweet, she went out of her way to help me. She spent a lot of time with me she was patient and understanding.

This salon is lovely, very posh and professional. I enjoyed getting a haircut at a higher end salon, from start to finish. I was a little put off, however, by their website, which looks very nice but doesn't name any of the stylists or what they do or what they charge. And the fact that, unlike every single service provider I've EVER been to that utilizes credit card machines, they cannot apply tips to the bill when a credit card is used. As I rarely have cash or a check, and my debit card is really more of an ATM card, I could not tip either my stylist or my shampooist appropriately once I had already run my credit card. This is something they should either change or make VERY clear up front, perhaps on their website. I have been to stylists before that don't accept cards at all, but generally if they accept cards, the tip can be added at the end. Otherwise a lovely experience. As I thoroughly enojoyed the experience, I will be back, but this time with CASH to tip my wonderful stylist and shampooist.

It was my first time at the salon. First, I had difficulty finding the salon in the sprawling shopping center. When I called for specifics of the location, the receptionist was unable to provide good directions. Someone else had to intervene. When I arrived at the salon (on time), I had a brief wait and then the young colorist took me to her station, which was in a dark corner of the salon. She very quickly applied color to my roots and then she advised me to and quot;just relaxand quot;--and then she left me to sit alone. There were no magazines or TV or anything in the area, just the gloom and the silence. I felt like a child being put in a corner for a time out. When she later returned, I told her I was bored. Then she offered to get me some magazines, and then she asked me if I'd like to some water or a soda. I asked for a soda. She returned with three magazines and a small can of soda--no straw, no cup. When the color was completed, she rinsed me out and said the stylist wasn't ready for me, so she parked me back at her station. I told her I wanted to go to the ladies room, and while I was in there, the power went out, so I was in total darkness for some minutes. No one came back to help me. Then the power came back on and I exited. (When I noted later noted that I'd been trapped in the bathroom during the power outage, they seemed to think it was funny.) The colorist then parked me on a hard sofa for a looong time. Finally, I was parked at one of the stylist's stations and waited some more--all in all, I waited more than 1 HOUR wait between when the colorist finished and the stylist was finally able to cut my hair. By the time the stylist finally got to me, I was furious and ready to walk out. In total, I was in the salon 2.5 hours. After the haircut, the stylist tried to sell me products, which I refused.
The haircut was very good but not stellar. The color was not great. Two days later, I notice that I still have and quot;roots,and quot; but they are brownish instead of gray. I'm a blond. The colorist should have pulled the color through my hair during the last 10 minutes, which is what my Boston stylist always did.
The price was not justifed for the value received, especially for the color. The salon was pretentious, trying to be LA or NYC (I've been to salons in both cities, and Planet 21 isn't on par). The long wait was irritating. There was pressure to buy more services and products.
All in all, it could have been a much better experience without too much effort on the part of the people in the salon. When I walked out, my gut feeling was that the haircut was nice but other factors offset it to the point that I didn't want to return.

I would say they are very professional, courteous, and excellent at their job. I do find them to be a little expensive.

It's a very nice facility, they are very professional, and they have sacred water, which is nice. My daughter's hair was cut by a stylist named Sunshine, and she really liked the cut. My daughter told her what she wanted, she followed it, it was quick, it was professional, and at $35, I thought the price was reasonable. Jennifer was the stylist who did my hair, I have long hair, and she colored it. That was $55 which again, I thought was reasonable for long hair. She did a very good job, it was natural looking, it was the exact color I wanted, and it was just a very nice experience. I definitely would be using them again in the future.

Planet 21 Salon knows what they are doing. They do quality work. I like the staff. I have been going to Planet 21 Salon for about fifteen years.

Penny is my colorist and I have been satisfied with her work and I have been going to planet 21 for about 10 years.

Sonia cuts my hair and she gives an excellent cut. She gives a quality cut. The facilities are new and they are very nice. I recommend her to others all the time.

Cuts are about $65 and colors are about $70. They always do a great job with my hair. Helen does my cut and Dahlen does my color.

My hair had been stripped and bleached, and Julia did a great job fixing it. I can't say enough good things about her! She got it back to my color and foiled it. It was just what I wanted! Their product prices are high but worth the price. Her work was a good price. It is a fun atmosphere.
