Phil's Electric and lamp Shop

Phil was very professional and timely and discussed the improvements thoroughly with us. He provides detailed line item invoices by email and returned quickly to finish work when special order parts arrived.

Service was prompt. Phil was very professional and personable. After discussing what I wanted along with some other concerns I was having regarding the number of electrical outlets my house had, he took the time to install a second outlet in another room, and ran an extra outlet in a third room I use for a home office. He answered my questions and was knowledgeable about the placement of the electrical outlets in relation to what appliances and devices I would be using the outlets for.

My ceiling fan fell right out of my bedroom ceiling one night. I contacted Phil and he reached out to me within hours! Not only that, he came the next day to fix it. When he arrived, he was very professional and pleasant. Turns out, one of the wires of the fan had been ripped completely out when it fell, so it was unusable. Phil rearranged his schedule so that I could run out to get a new fan (telling me exactly what I needed to look out for so that I'd only need to make one trip), and he was back quickly to complete the install. Amazing customer service and an all around great guy.

The work was done promptly and professionally.  I was very pleased with every part of the service.  The cost was reasonable.

They lack professionalism, and they did not test the outlets that we told them to inspect. We would not recommend them.

There was no existing junction box where we had taken down an overhead florescent light.  So he had to install a junction box at the point where there was some wood support to fasten it to.  The light he was installing was very heavy and a junction box itself with no support wouldn't provide enough support.  He had to drill a circle out of our sheet rock ceiling and used that circle piece of sheet rock to repair the existing circle left by the previous lights.  He screwed a support for the circle size sheet rock and since  he doesn't do sheet rock repair, he left us with instructions on how to fill the gaps between the circle and the existing ceiling.  He got the new lights up and they look beautiful.

Phil answered the phone himself, gave me a "ballpark quote" over the phone.  I dropped the lamp off and he gave it back the next day.  He had to replace the light socket.  It was exactly what he quoted.  He did what he said he would do, when he said he would do it, for the quoted price.

It was quick and easy to call Phil's Electric. It is really nice when the owner answers the phone himself, and takes time to explain what is wrong and how he can fix it.

Phil is great. He provided a quote over the phone for replacing several light fixtures, and that is what he charged upon completing the work. He arrived on time, and even adjusted a chandelier connection that I had done myself. Another time he provided guidance on replacing a 220 outlet cover that was broken during granite counter installation. You will be very pleased with Phil's service.
