Pfahl Custom builders builds a halfway decent house, but provide the single worse customer experience I have ever encountered. The building process on 2500+ house has taken more than 8 months (not including design and permitting which took 4 months). During this time I have been treated as if I was "lucky" to be getting one of their homes. Any time I asked questions or questioned their methods I was chastised, snapped at or was told that my behavior was offending them. Once I was told by one of the owners that "their goal was not to build a perfect house". But at $260+ per sq. ft. you should get something close. Additionally they informed me of 3 different closing dates and never met one of them, costing me over $1500 in rate lock extension costs. When I asked for compensation I was told absolutely not. In my opinion this builder is unscrupulous and morally inept. The have absolutely no compassion for the buyers of their product and could care less if the buyer is happy.
